Curly Bane. I'd be more afraid of HIM, than I would be of Little Tom Hardly....

Its a nice image on it self. But with no portions to others you don't really have the height/depth for the character.

It also looks like an artist's rendering, if you will. The clips I've seen of Hardly Bane in the trailers really show off his 14" guns so I know this is a fake! Comic Book Dude, what is it with you man?! It's like you're deliberately trying to piss people off?!

Taking a harder look at it, which I didn't have time in morning.. it does look like a render image, like a video game one.

Who pissing off who here? I'm only insinuating that the photos you see of Bane were probably just his pre-venom form, I mean you don't really think that Nolan would just put in a villain and leave out important traits that particular villain is best known for do you? It'll be like Scarecrow without his fear toxin, Joker without his masterplans & psychotic nature or Two-Face without his coin & split decisions! What are the chances that Bane won't have any form of venom injections? Just because we haven't seen in trailers or heard any word of it dosen't mean we won't see it!
Call me a Nolanite if your dare but aleast I'm the type to let results speak for itself!
BTW Y'all seem to make it okay to bash Tom Hardy as Bane yet me making minimum criticism about the Hulk not looking like he did in TIH in "The Avengers" film isn't!

Re: Tom Hardy To Play" Bane" In Batman Sequel
As much as I would love to see muscle up in the film. I don't see it happening. If venom is even used it probably be treated like a pcp and bane doesn't get any bigger then he is as we seen in trailers/pics. Hell I wouldn't have mind something akin to what they did with jurrernut in x3, or just have jad bane actor in motion cap suit which got enhanced with cgi to be bigger.
Cmf the hulk deal is totally different. And he still looks like as the hulk should be. They even have stated in past interviews why hulk looks different. So that is a moot point.

You know what KILLS me about this 'tard? Wasn't he the idiot over in 'The Avengers' thread whining about the Hulk not being "ripped & cut" enough, yet is here, touting the miniscule Hardly "Bane"?? The fuck kind of logic is that????
Hey, Comicbookfan-V2, if an actor who is 5'7 and 190lbs "intimidates" or "impresses" you, you must be 4'11 and female.
It's the only way.
Oh, and for those of you with more than ONE brain cell, that is a digital painting of Hardly "Bane". With a lot of liberties taken.

You don't piss me off, son.
You just make me feel sad for humanity's future.

Chances will be VERY high that we won't. Want to know why, moron?
In not ONE of those set pics/vids did we see Hardly's "Bane" wearing a CGI suit. And since there were pics and vids of them having FIGHT SCENES OUT IN THE OPEN, we would have seen SOMETHING.
Kind of like this:
Dink.
Just because we haven't seen in trailers or heard any word of it dosen't mean we won't see it!
Wow, I guess he's right!!
You know, we haven't Seen King Tut in any of the trailers nor have we heard any word of him being in it, so he HAS to be!!
I've figured out who Joseph Gordon-Levitt is playing!!
Call me a Nolanite if your dare but aleast I'm the type to let results speak for itself!
You are a Nolanite.

But does he look like the Hulk, you fucking maroon??
Yep.
Does Hardly look like Bane?
Not even close.
You have been owned and re-owned, idiot.
Now shut your fucking mouth.

The veins on the arm are what seemed fishy to me. If they'd been downplayed, I might've been fooled. Maybe. But that painting or whatever it is shows not only that but also Hardly Bane with a more impressive V-cut than I remember him having anywhere else. Maybe I'm wrong about his overall size and cut (not a body builder, remember?) but a few things in that pic just don't ring true for me.Apologist Puncher wrote:Oh, and for those of you with more than ONE brain cell, that is a digital painting of Hardly "Bane". He didn't. Ever. Not even in 'Warrior', where he was at his best.

Take a look at the mask in both the digital painting, and the real Hardly in my post. In the painting it is bulkier and sits higher on his face. They just took what was there, and amped it up. Hell, the fact that somehow you can see HUGE thigh muscles thru BAGGY PANTS should have tipped everyone off!
Not real.

Re: Tom Hardy To Play" Bane" In Batman Sequel
There was a lot of complaints about Daniel Craig not being tall enough to make a physically imposing James Bond. Then there's the whole thing with his blond hair. But in the end it's not how an actor looks in the part, it's how he carries himself and Craig managed to make a big impression because he's that good of an actor. Tom Hardy is of the same breed. I saw the six minute prologue on IMAX before MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE started, and what impressed me the most about Hardy as Bane was not his physicality and size but rather his eyes. He has that look in his eyes that I find to be pretty unsettling, telling me this is a guy you do not want to mess with.
So overall, I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of his performance.

Well hardy is a good actor. I don't think any one was saying he isn't. The issue is he isn't the correct looks for the role. And like joker with ledger they are not playing the true character.

Not to bash on you or anything but, um, that could be because the eyes are just about all you can see.Stockslivevan wrote:what impressed me the most about Hardy as Bane was not his physicality and size but rather his eyes.

Re: Tom Hardy To Play" Bane" In Batman Sequel
Nope, it's how he uses them. One of the complaints LeVar Burton made about playing Geordi on STAR TREK was that he had to wear a hair band around his eyes and he not only disliked it because it was hard to see but it was also because he felt they took away something from his ability as an actor to tell audiences what's on his mind just by his eyes.thecolorsblend wrote:Not to bash on you or anything but, um, that could be because the eyes are just about all you can see.Stockslivevan wrote:what impressed me the most about Hardy as Bane was not his physicality and size but rather his eyes.
But the eyes are merely one example of what Hardy could do with the role. There might be more to his take on Bane besides making folks shit their pants with one glance. But I'll wait and see. I'm not gonna give full praise or completely shit on this film until I give it a fair chance in the theater.

Sorry, but Tom Hardy is 5'8. Not 5'11-6' like Daniel Craig. 5'8. We are supposed to "believe" that that small man is going not only FIGHT Bale's 6' - 6'2 with boots Batman, but SERIOUSLY INJURE him?? No. Can't.
Hardy wasn't picked because he was the best actor for the part. He was picked due to director familiarity. Craig was picked because he was the best actor for the part.
See the difference?

Let me explain WHY I have a problem with "Hardly Bane", so maybe you can understand:
I have a friend roughly the same height as Hardy. BUT, he weighs about 30lbs more, and STILL isn't physically imposing. Least of all to me. And yes, he DOES workout, because we used to workout together 5 days a week. He still does, I do my own thing for now. But to look at him, and then Hardy, I see the glaring problems with him being cast for no good reason.
I am shitting on "Hardly Bane' more than anything, and since we all know what he looks like in action, I am more then entitled to do so.

All I'm saying is that he should be given a fair chance when seen in theaters with the film fully realized. He may surprise you in ways you might not expect, like how Daniel Craig surprised many when CASINO ROYALE came out.
Or he may not. My point is, just give him a shot before condemning him completely.
