Hardy's "Bane" Voice
Worse than Bale's Batman voice.
Seriously.

Bane's supposed to be South American. This guy sounds like Ludwig von Drake.

It's getting almost comical.

That was awful! Am I actually supposed to be scared or something?! He just as well be Mr. Rogers! On that vid, someone commented that it's not venom being pumped into Bane, it's a mixture of Metamucil & prune juice! More laughable by the minute!

Re: Hardy's "Bane" Voice
To be fair, odds are good his voice will be overdubbed during post production. Hardy has until then to perfect a more menacing voice and more convincing accent.
But for right now... geeze, what a joke!

I think that's always how it goes- if an actor has a mask or makeup on that slurs their words, their voice is always re-dubbed. That's one of the many laughable things about the Roger Corman Fantastic Four- despite the heavy mask, they didn't do that with their Dr. Doom, and it showed.

Never saw the Corman FF but somehow this doesn't come as much of a surprise. On the other hand, you could argue that as they never intended to release the film in the first place, they have the mother of all excuses for what a crappy movie it is (allegedly; I've never seen it).Bug-Eyed Earl wrote:I think that's always how it goes- if an actor has a mask or makeup on that slurs their words, their voice is always re-dubbed. I've seen it. I even had it saved to my computer but the stupid VEOH file messed up or something & I was no longer able to watch it or retrieve it. To be truthful, I actually kinda liked it, even if in a corny kinda way. It was nowhere near the quality of the theatrical releases from a few years ago but I still enjoyed it. It was kinda 'suckable' but enjoyable at the same time, but ain't that what Roger Corman was known for anyway? Making sucking 'B' movies but you still found yourself with an interest in his films. Anyone know where to find a DVD copy of this film? I don't believe I've ever seen it on eBay.

Actually, like colors said, the film was never meant to be released. So there has never been an official DVD, hell not even a VHS release of the movie. The only reason they put it into production in the first place was to keep the rights for another 7 years.
Maybe try PirateBay though....

Video of the same scene:
If I was a Gotham City citizen, and I saw this, I would be asking:
"Who is the little guy in the coat, and why is he so angry?"
