Geoffrey Rush joins the Green Lantern Corps!
Published on: Mar 30, 2011 6:39:27 PM CDT
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with some Green Lantern news, thanks to the eagle-eyed folks at The Hero Complex blog.
Looks like the awesome Geoffrey Rush will be voicing the bizarre Tomar-Re, the bird/reptile/fish lookin' member of the corps.
Green Lantern was never my thing as a kid, thanks to my Marvel-only snobbery (if it wasn't X-Men or Spider-Man I didn't give a shit), but I'm sure one of these days I'll buy up the archival books and give them a read.
I do know I love the look of all these creatures and that Rush is awesome, so hopefully he rubs off on the movie.
Thoughts?

02- Quint can go fuck himself.

He was the best thing about the last 'Pirates' movie.

Is he a real person, or just another Harry "Jabba" Knowles identity?

I honestly never cared enough to find out. That site and the people who make it were all pretty much whores from the get-go but they never really became shameless about it until relatively recently. I've not kept up for years but there was a point when you had a better chance of seeing Singerladyboy 2- "Man" of Pleather than a negative review from Knowles on just about anything.Apologist Puncher wrote:thecolorsblend wrote:Yes, two thoughts actually.

People eventually reasoned that the fucker was just getting paid outright for positive reviews. That may have changed in recent times but you could tell he didn't like a particular movie but somehow always focused on (A) what he had for breakfast that morning (B) how he grew up reading/watching/listening/jacking off to [insert something of varying degrees of relevance here] (C) how he was cautiously optimistic about this movie (if it'd gotten a lot of negative press) (D) how it was "better than it had any right to be" and (E) how much he enjoyed it on a technical level (while not risking his "cred" by approving an acknowledged stinker). And you can pepper all of the above points with liberal amounts of name-dropping.
Twats...

Oh, he definitely STILL does it. In fact, that's pretty much ALL "Jabba" Knowles uses his site for these days.
When was the last time you heard about Aint It Old News breaking a legitimate "scoop"?
Exactly.
