You know, even though it's the deadest of dead horses, I can't really see how this:
Is somehow more "realistic" than this:
I mean, one is a freaky looking mask, and the other is Hardly's "Bane" abomination....

Ditto and ditto. If they took an approach where they just didn't want Bane to wear a mask, that would make some sense. But developing the mask they did... seriously, what purpose is served there?Apologist Puncher wrote:You know, even though it's the deadest of dead horses, I can't really see how this:

That's a cool pic of the regular Bane mask though. Goes to show how easily that can be managed if someone's committed to making it work.

I believe the mask suppose to serve as a tool for him to survive due to a previous severe injury and there's a indication that he may die if it were to be removed! Also, the mask suppose to provide some form of gas for him to inhale (Which might explain the tubes) that supposedly serve as a pain killer but may also be the film's possible answer to venom in which the gas may also be use to inhance his strength and possibly increase his mass (You never know) instead of using a tube attach from his wrist controller to the back of his head.

You misunderstand me. What purpose is served in changing it? I realize there's some retarded textual explanation for the existence of the mask that (A) is completely foreign to the character up to this point because we all know comics characters MUST be modified before they can be "properly" adapted and (B) I'm sure Nolan will drill said retarded explanation into us without Novocaine (whoa whoa, will something bad happen if the train reaches the Wayne Enterprises building? I'm not sure yet, Nolan, you better tell me another five or six times to make sure I get it).Comicbookfan-V2 wrote:thecolorsblend wrote:But developing the mask they did... seriously, what purpose is served there?

My question is why it was ever changed to begin? What's being served in running with that particular mask design rather than one that doesn't look like a Mortal Kombat reject?

Hey, even Ray Mysterio is probably bigger than the hulking 190-lb. Bane!

Stupid.

Even more stupid.

Oh, I know. Ain't happenin', chuckles.
instead of using a tube attach from his wrist controller to the back of his head.
Which, as we know, visually doesn't work AT ALL.
Right?

Here's a pic from the set of 'This Means War', Hardly's new flick:
Reese Witherspoon is 5'2, in what looks to be 3 inch heels.
'Nuff said.

LOLLOLLOLLOLLOLLOLLOLLOLLOLLOL!!!!!
But remember, Nolan has somehow now brought credibility to the character of Bane, as was brought up in that 'new 52' thread. Personally I can't wait for THE AVENGERS to steamroll the competition even in advance so that by the time TDKR gets here, that all it can hope for is the leftovers. 'NUFF SAID!

Its a nice photo, and good pose for bane. He is trying to be menancing. Only thing still blows he isn't as bulk as he should be. I still would have had hardy as hugo strange then this mini bane deal.
