Well since this is probably related to the alaskan shoot per the look of cavill in the pics and the vid. My guess is maybe he was working on a fishing rig or a oil rig. Some big storm or expolosion. More likely expoloison due to cavill's look. Caused said place to go up and he is trying to save folks here. Which again brings me to point i think i mentioned when we saw adams photos of her in the alaskan scenes. Which is likely cavill post dad's death is traveling world to figure out what to do with his life and his powers. Preforms this miracle which causes the town he is in to dub him/the event a miracle and the DP hears about this and perry sends lois out there for a story on it.

It's interesting. Reeve was more or less the Curt Swan Superman. He was that Superman's spitting image (and yes, he looked like Swan's Superman; not vice versa). Now Cavill looks like the McGuiness version (one of my faves, btw). I like this evolution going on here.

I don't see all the pics here but I did at that site. The side pics of Cavill remind me of Tom Welling. If you don't believe me, look again, hair & all! Interesting though is that Shannon doesn't have any facial hair! I thought early on he did but in these pics he doesn't! So it leads me to believe we're gonna get a clean-shaven Zod, maybe not for the entire film but probably most of it. Maybe Zod has a beard to begin with simply because when he escapes from the Phantom Zone, he needs to shave? So maybe he does?

Non I am still uploading the rest of the images. As for shannon we did she facial hair in some plano shots. If anything he could be wearing fake beard and since this it cavill/shannon probably between takes/break going between studio space he doesn't have it on yet.

VERY cool pics. Even in those pics, Cavill really looks good. Looks the part.

Thats the samething I'm thinking! Wouldn't make any sense if he had it in eariler shots then suddenly not having it in later shots and I don't think it involves shaving!

Ya its not hard to think he could have had fake beard done up by the makeup crew. Heck that oil rig shots with cavill with a beard is fake beard on cavill. So doing a litle goatee/beard makeup isnt that hard to do. Plus like i said if its just shots of cavill and shannon between scenes/ or on a break heading to trailers or to another part of the studio. There isnt the near to be decked out in all your makeup and costume peices. I seen it on sets i been on myself.

The hair thing still bugs me.
