Maybe my perceptions are off, it's not like I'm a designer or anything, but a variation on THIS would've made for a MUCH better poster, if you ask me.Apologist Puncher wrote:Feel free to post any new images that come out for the new picture, slated for Summer 2011.

Very true.
Just touch-up the arms and buttons to look more "metallic", and there you go.

Re: Thor Movie Pics
Another winner, another example of just how shitty the red poster really is.
I'm starting to think a stick figure with a hammer would've been better than the red poster at this point.

Re: Thor Movie Pics
I think a lot of people are under-estimating the 'THOR' film potential. Wouldn't surprise me if it pulls an 'Iron Man'.

Re: Thor Movie Pics
I don't think you're too far off. Admittedly, this anecdote (which is all it is) took place at a comic shop but the importance of it stands. I went there to pick up my week's loot, right, and I was checking out some action figures when an incredibly pregnant soccer mom came in toting her 2'ish year old boy. Kid is NUTS for all things Thor. He bypassed Spider-Man, Iron Man, the whole burrito and made a beeline for the Thor figures.
This was the second such incident I've seen. Because it's a comic shop, you're likely to question how representative it is of The Public. Understandable too. But she gave every indication of being a civilian, she asked the assistant manager on duty a bunch of noob questions and pretty much had me convinced that she wasn't a regular in any comic book store.
This is one kid with one interest that he may not even have in a week... but then again he might.
Similar things can be said of the Captain America and GL films too.

Re: Thor Movie Pics
My father grew-up with Thor being his favorite comic book character. He hasn't bought one in DECADES, but he'll be there to watch 'THOR' in theaters.
Guaranteed.
Guaranteed.
