Re: Wonder Woman's Return To TV
Well first off, it's nice to hear that a "Wonder Woman" series is green lighted and on the go although I don't why it has to be NBC and not the CW but I have to ask one question... Why a TV series and not a movie? I'm not against it or anything I'm just asking why a series and not a movie as they were suppose to put in production like the other upcoming DC based films? Hell, how are they even going to do a future "Justice League" movie without introducing her in her own film if they're going to do a series instead? If of course if there's a chance that this Wonder Woman will be use for a future "Justice League" movie then I think I'll be cool with it!
P.S. Is Wonder Woman gonna to wear that new garment that she introduce last year?

Re: Wonder Woman's Return To TV
I think they choose tv over film. Cause all the issues they been having for yrs to get the character to big screen, and the whole crap about female action films not doing as well these days. Where as on tv women seem to have stronger roles/shows. This is only my opinion on the matter. As for costumes, since its been mentioned that ww is a marketed thing for the show. I could see a toy nodding to classic swimsuit looking suit. Any flashbacks to thymiscra probably the amazons/diana in a battle armor looking suit like how most manips of a live action ww suit is. As for show suit probably would end up being something like that new suit, or a mix of the new suit/battle armor.

Another Character Detail Revealed – Diana Prince’s Neighbor, William Marston
February 23rd, 2011 Craig Byrne
Wonder Woman is now casting more characters, and a new character that has been added in the revision of the script is Diana Prince’s neighbor William Marston.
You might notice he shares a name with the creator of Wonder Woman.
He’s fascinated to know what Wonder Woman is really like, knowing Diana Prince as the assistant to Etta Candy at Themiscyra Industries. He wants to know if the things people say about Wonder Woman are true, and in having this conversation over a date with Diana, she learns a bit of what the real world thinks of her.
It will be interesting to see if the character’s name will change. The first draft of the Smallville pilot included a character named Whitney Ellsworth, named for the comic book editor who became producer on the original Adventures of Superman series. Ultimately, the name of the character became Whitney Fordman instead of being completely named after him.

The Wonder Woman Pilot Is Casting Artemis
February 24th, 2011 Craig Byrne
Fans looking for some Wonder Woman mythology will be happy with some more casting news we have learned.
The WW production is currently casting the role of Artemis. Thus far, she only seems to be present for a flashback scene that details Steve Trevor’s crash on Paradise Island. But if they’re going so far as to cast someone for this… surely it’s not just going to be an extra. Could Artemis be seen on the show again if the series continues beyond a pilot?

RE: Wonder Woman's Return To TV
What I'm having trouble with is why did they pick Adrianne Palicki to play Wonder Woman?! I'm not saying she can't act or anything. I know I saw her on Supernatural as Sam's girlfriend who went up in flames. My concern is that she doesn't look the part. Oh, I know, she's a blonde but she can dye her hair, etc., etc., yada yada yada. That's not the point though. Take Superman for example. You not only need a good actor but someone who looks the part. I personally consider Nic Cage to be a good actor & I like some of his films but I did not ever want him as Supes. Why? Because he didn't look the part! I feel it's the same concept with Wonder Woman. Lynda Carter looked the part back in the day. And she was a natural brunette. However, with Palicki I just don't know about this. You know that if the Wonder Woman film had ever seen the light of day then they'd have gotten a more major actress, one who could already pass for the character. I'll probably try the show out but I was hoping for more with this franchise. If only DC could be like Marvel?!

Well this news might piss some fans:
http://wonderwomantv.com/4952/is-the-new-tv-wonder-woman-going-to-wear-the-new-costume/
I can see why they may do new suit if story is true. It does lend itself to be more tv friendly. But it would be nice to see classic/battle skirt one show up too. Maybe for flashbacks to island life or special reasons.

Re: Wonder Woman's Return To TV
I freely admit this at a minimum borders on hypocrisy but I was never crazy about her classic costume to begin with. It never made sense to me that someone from an island of all-chicks would want to call that much attention to her bare skin around men.
Mind you, I know nothing and care even less about Wonder Woman so let's cut the bullshit I was never going to watch this show anyway.

Re: Wonder Woman's Return To TV
To the suit looking over it a few times close up and away. There is things I like and dislike about the suit. First love the tiara, cuffs, and style of the boots and keeping it gold/red/blue. Also like they kept stars on the pants area. Lipstick I say is to bright and I would have gone with lighter shade. Though who knows if she will wear lipstick all the time.
Also its a decent attempt to mix classic suit elements with that new suit from last year. So overall the look is fine for me.
The bad elements, making the boots blue would have kept them red to balance out the top and bottom of the costume. Also surprising they went with a spandex like material for top/bottom. I would have thought a more jean like tougher material for the pants with a bit darker shade of blue. Maybe a more royal blue color?
As for the photo itself. Its a nice pose they had her in and I thought they highlighted the suit nicely. Though to folks I saw bitching at other sites about it looking to cheap/cheesy and shiney. This photo doesn't show how it will look all the time. In different lighting shades and location with video formated/processed the suit will probably look different. Look for example like at hawkman/dr fate suits in sv. Somewhat cheesy on its own. But in the right context and lighting looks very good.
I as I said earlier wish the show the best of luck and hope it will do well. Crossing fingers it gets promoted well, a good time slot and pairing with a show. Also it was very smart move from wb to release the full suit now. Since it was reported a few days filming of a chase scene is due to happen in next week. So good move relasing suit now before a crappy poparazzi shot got it first.

RE: Wonder Woman's Return To TV
I saw that pic & don't particularly like the suit. The top part is OK I guess but why did they go with the long pants?! Lynda Carter went with the classic pantless suit, or is that considered too 'exploitative' now?! But even if they were gonna go with pants, shouldn't the boots be RED? That would've helped some (just like Superman's 'trunks'). Now if we can only get a pic of Cavill as Superman!

Well we are bound to get that soon. As snyder did say he will release a photo before filming starts. And since the film is due to start in aug. We likely will have photo in july. Now I just wonder will it be out of the blue release from ew or say release it at comic con.

Re: Wonder Woman's Return To TV
I believe thats what the real backlash is really all about... The boots being blue instead of red! Which is why people say it's the entire costume is the problem because they knew that the boots are a minor problem and would look like bigger whiners than they already are if they complained about that only. I for one can agree that the boots should be red instead of blue but since that's only a minor issue I can let it slide since the rest of the suit looks okay!
