Re: 10.21-22, Finale (spoilers)
It would be one thing if this was an old plot-thread from Season 4 or 5, but it's not. It just happened 16 or 17 EPISODES ago. So either he comes back in an episode before that, gets sent to the Phantom Zone and then is used again pretty quickly, or the writers fucked it up.
Wonder which it will be?

Re: 10.21-22, Finale (spoilers)
Zod had been unmasked as the villain of the thing in the season 9 finale. Maybe when he got to where ever the hell Clark sent him, the Kandorians used some device to put him into the Phantom Zone. I dunno...

Which would make sense if that link didn't specifically state that he was pissed that CLARK sent him there....
*EDIT* Here you go:
*EDIT* Here you go:
With Clark's powers gone, the two are immediately captured by the Zoners who take them to their new leader, Zod (Callum Blue), who is thirsting for revenge on Clark for banishing him to this Kryptonian jail.

Re: 10.21-22, Finale (spoilers)
Yeah, wondered about that even as I wrote my post. My only real answers for that are (A) Clark is indirectly responsible for Zod being banished or (B) those blurbs are thrown together by someone from the network (but not the production office) who only has a passing familiarity with the A-plot of the episode and fills in a few blanks on his own. I wouldn't call blurbs for previous episodes misleading but there were times when I thought the blurb didn't quite match up with what that episode was really about. It was correct in the big picture but the few fine details it tried to bring across weren't completely on point.Apologist Puncher wrote:Which would make sense if that link didn't specifically state that he was pissed that CLARK sent him there....

Then again, the whole thing could be a major continuity fuck up.
Truth is I'm rarely disappointed when I give SV the benefit of the doubt, esp for something I haven't seen yet.

Re: 10.21-22, Finale (spoilers)
Well my two guesses are either 1. The world the kandorians got sent to was the phantom zone. Or 2. Maybe since the kandorians know more tech stuff then clark does, they made a gateway to the pz and sent zod there for what he did.

Didn't they spend the whole episode saying the exact opposite?

Not what it says here. Again.

Its visually nice little teaser. Wish it had more to it. But we are still a month from finale. So I can see why as that. Can't wait to we got real finale promos.

It was more AUDIO than VIDEO though, so your first sentence is a little.....perplexing.

Re: 10.21-22, Finale (spoilers)
Honestly, I'd rather Petersouders err in giving us too little rather than too much. This is something that really does come down to opinion and individual preference but they've permitted spoilers aplenty about a great many episodes before. I'm glad they're protecting the finale a little bit.Apologist Puncher wrote:Wow, a whopping 18 seconds, huh?

Re: 10.21-22, Finale (spoilers)
You can tell the producers are trying to be as diplomatic as they can in withholding info on the finale.
I do get a feeling that Williams' theme may get one more official outing. Personally I'm fine with that as the Donnerverse has been recognized by SV in the past and it brings to a close a whole era of Superman before the new film restarts everything freshly.

Re: 10.21-22, Finale (spoilers)
A standalone adventure? I can only hope. My dream for years was that the show would wrap in the next to last episode of whatever season and then, for the finale, do a standard Superman story set in the SV'verse as a "thank you" to the fans who hung in there.Air Lock Alpha wrote:"Smallville" will be ending its 10-year run in a matter of weeks, completing Clark Kent's (Tom Welling) transformation into Superman.
So, with almost a decade of mythology needing wrapped up before he finally takes to the skies there is now a question of how many threads will come together for the epic conclusion. Well, according to producer Brian Peterson, "Finale" will be a standalone adventure.
Now long-time fans who have stuck with the show for any length of time needn't fret, there will be plenty of payoffs for them as well.
"What we really tried to do is create a finale that pretty much stands on its own for anybody who has ever watched any episode of 'Smallville' to tune in and watch the finale," he said.
Before the series leaves the screen forever, fans can look forward to seeing the return of Martha and Jonathan Kent (Annette O'Toole and Jonathan Schnieder), Supergirl (Laura Vandervoort) Chloe (Allison Mack) and Gen. Zod (Callum Blue). Not to mention the introduction of Blue Beetle and Booster Gold.
And with pulling in so many characters from the shows history the series will have a final episode that the loyal fanbase will be satisfied with.
"And for the hardcore fans that have seen every episode, there are a lot of little nuggets and little payoffs all along the way," Peterson said. "That's been our goal for the finale."
Of course, the biggest highlight for many viewers will be the return of Michael Rosenbaum, who will once again portray the diabolical Lex Luthor.
The plot of "Finale" have been kept tightly under wraps and no one is quite sure yet if Rosenbaum will be playing the real Lex Luthor (who was believed killed during season eight) or a cloned version of the villain like the ones that were popping up earlier this season. Given Lionel's (John Glover) surprise rendezvous with Lord Darkseid at the end of "Scion" it looks like the series may actually include a resurrection.
"Smallville" airs Fridays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

Is that what we'll be getting in the finale? Honestly... I doubt it. What EVERYONE has been waiting for is the moment when Clark BECOMES Superman, not so much when he IS Superman. The unveiling of The Hero and The Suit, that's what the show's been building to. I'd think the showrunners would want to capitalize on the attention of a series finale by putting The Debut in the finale.
But I'd *LOVE* for them to prove me wrong.

Re: 10.21-22, Finale (spoilers)
I really hope they knock it out of the park with the finale, Superman deserves it.
I'd love to see the show go out with much acclaim and big numbers. I wonder if it'd be viable to get a "one of" sell through movie sequel or TVM before it'd interfere with the upcoming movie?

It would be sweet but probably isn't happening for variety of reasons. With cast/crew moving on to other projects most sets being taken down, and costumes/props going to archives. But man would be cool.
