Re: 10.21-22, Finale (spoilers)
Yes it was kelly i believe who said it in interview/comic con panel-post panel interview. I dont remember which off the top of my head. That it was just used as a prop sent to them from WB archives(so i dont think archives would want them using it on someone/in action lol). I dont remember the full reason why they went with the SR suit over say getting a copy of a donner suit or something then looking to old or some silly reason. So hopefully what ever smallville designs make for welling in the finale will look good.

I guess she should've remembered who the Younis page staff have and have not approved as lust objects..
Spot on. Some things never change. You can get away with anything re Smallville, but hands off Singerman!
Then without a hint of conflict or hypocrisy, the only paid writing job Bailey could get was for the Smallville fan magazine. And after all his ill informed hatred the sheep then congratulated him for graduating to an offshoot of something he couldn't stand!
What a bunch fuckin losers. Digging holes for a living is too good for the likes of Bailey. That's respectable work.

You know, there is a screenplay in all we've seen over there. Let's see, what would you call it? They've already used "Fanboys"...how about "F*ckheads"?

I forgot about that. Anybody know where I can find that story? I'd be interested to see what that puke managed to come up with.Father Finian wrote:Then without a hint of conflict or hypocrisy, the only paid writing job Bailey could get was for the Smallville fan magazine. That title might make it hard to sell in Wal-Mart stores. Why not just go with the tried and true "Apologists"? I sometimes think the term "Apologist" gives them a level of academic credibility they don't deserve since what they do has absolutely nothing to do with any type of apologetics but it's the best term I've ever heard about.Father Finian wrote:You know, there is a screenplay in all we've seen over there. Here's another gem. Don't know how I ever missed it.
Yeah, actually we do; Episode I went on to gross more domestically than Singerman did worldwide. Some Apologist fucktard wrote:#36 | Bocephus Jones on January 6, 2011 12:24pm EST
It makes me think of the Phantom Menace poster with Anikin standing in front of a wall and a Darth Vader shadow behind him... and we all know how Phantom Menace turned out.

Yes, and that Phantom Menace image ripped off the classic "Bruce Wayne's shadow is Batman" imagery.
But of course, in the Homopage only Smallville gets it wrong.

Re: 10.21-22, Finale (spoilers)
some smallville stuff from TCA event:
TVTango TV Tango
"Yes there will be a big event," (Kelly Smiles) Kelly Sounders says in response to if Lois and Clark will get married.
I asked Erica about what she wanted for Lois at the end of the series, she almost started to cry "I want Lois to be happy with who she is."
Erica smiles, "That's the rumor!" When we asked about Chloe returning for the end. #Smallville
TVTango Erica Durance says that when she leaves the set she wants to take her name plate and a Blur jacket! #Smallville #CW
Erica Durance said she wants Lois to "Fly, get married, kick-ass and be happy," this season.
Erica Durance says #Smallville's final season is "pretty bittersweet," just shot her last scenes with Alison Mack.
Erica Durance says she just did a scene with Allison Mack and wondered if it was their last together
Erica Durance says filming the final season means you "appreciate everything you do."
Superman will do what everybody wants him to do. "He looks good doing it," Erica says.
Erica Durance says Tom Welling looks good doing what everyone has been waiting for Clark Kent to do.... dun dun dun #Smallville #TCA
Erica Durance says only 7 episodes left to shoot on #Smallville. We'll "Hopefully see Superman do what everybody wants him to do.” #TCA
Prod. Kelly Sounders said that Justin and Allison have such great chemistry that they have to be with each other #Smallville #CW #Chollie
Prod. Kelly Sounders says that they're hoping Allison comes back for the Series finale and that the door is open #Smallville #CW
When I asked if Darkseid would become a manifestation, Kelly Sounders said, "Yes he will manifest." #Smallville #CW
Can you tease us a little about what’s in store for Lois Lane in upcoming episodes?
Lois Lane in upcoming episodes? (laugh) Yet another undercover costume. This one was so new, I felt like a kid playing dress up! There is another type of alternate reality, where you get to see just how much Clark needs Lois at his side. Lois delves into reporter mode again, off the grid, to help the “heros” battle against the VRA, and she has a beautiful heart to heart with Martha. As an undercurrent throughout all of this is a little angst between Clark and Lois. Mainly, you guessed it, from Lois.

Looks like the Singerman usage is never-ending with the CW:

Being as the show is still in production and it seems fittings for The Suit probably haven't even taken place yet, I can understand why the CW's marketing department is recycling Stalkerman images. That doesn't mean I'm okay with it, it just means they don't have much else to choose from.
Plus, at least they got the symbol right this time. That proper version there is how it SHOULD look; none of that Bryan Singer-inspired bullshit, thankyouverymuch.

One problem with this though: An even half-way decent graphic artist could take that picture of Welling and Photoshop it into looking like it's Superman. Cape and all.
Instead, they re-use Singerman bullshit.

I'm starting to think there may be a method to their madness. A subliminal nod to Ruth can only make Welling's actual reveal as Superman all the more impressive.

its a nice poster concept, i too hate SR crap being used. My guess is who ever is CW graphics folks are either lazy, arent given alot of money, given only select images to use, or just grabs what ever they can find off google.

Scoop on Smallville's 'Unbelievable' Return and the Super Finale To Come
By: Matt Webb Mitovich

Share 0diggsdigg2SharebarShare860diggsdigg2Of course the Smallville series finale will be 31 flavors of super, but will it actually be supersized? And what sort of unbelievably romantic moment can “Clois” fans look forward to?
An epic two-hour affair would seem to be fitting for a show wrapping a 10-year run — and in fact that is “a possibility,” executive producer Brian Peterson tells TVLine. “We’d love that, and it feels like the right way to end.”
At this early stage, however — the midseason premiere arrives Friday, January 28 — “We don’t know yet,” says exec producer Kelly Souders. But whatever The CW decides, “The beauty is that the last two episodes go hand-in-hand,” she notes, “so no matter what happens, it will be an event.”
And the title of said finale event? Is it safe to say that, in keeping with the show’s one-word nomenclature and Clark reaching his destiny, “Superman” will be the name of the game-ending game?
“That is not safe to say,” Souders reports. “We were actually just talking about it [on Friday], and we still don’t have a title. And literally, with the amount of stuff we have to lock down for that episode, the title is the least of our problems.
“It might be a no-brainer [such as "Superman"], but I”m not sure,” Souders allows. (As Peterson acknowledges, bestowing the finale with such a potent and important title is “a whole much bigger discussion.”)
Smallville First Look: Chloe Returns To Oliver… And Black Canary?
The immediately good news is that while rumors are swirling that a Clark/Lois wedding may take place before the series flies away for good, fans of the supercouple to end all supercouples won’t have to wait four months for out-of-this-world romance.
Rather, “You will see an unbelievable Clark/Lois scene in the first episode back [airing January 28],” Peterson promises. “It is an unbelievable Clark/Lois scene.”
Fox Has Big Plans For Smallville‘s Lex Luthor
So… who’s ready for January 28? And if “Superman” isn’t the finale’s title, what would you suggest?

RE: Smallville *Spoilers* Discussion
Ya know, I'd like to ask ONE SIMPLE QUESTION about the use of imagery used to 'shadow' Tom Welling & his impending transformation to Superman. We know they're using Singerman imagery WAY too much for realists' tastes. SO..........MY question is, IF they're gonna use such imagery, then why don't they use CHRISTOPHER REEVE IMAGERY?! Certainly they could take HIS poses from various media back in the day & DO THE SAME THING?! I'd find THAT much more appealing in this kind of situation. It would be an homage of sorts to Reeve & I don't THINK it would offend anyone either. Thoughts?

It's easier to look more impressive than that last, forgotten guy who played Superman on the big screen.
Much bigger task to measure up to Christopher Reeve.
