well the thing is we still dont know if lois is or isnt in the film. Same goes for who ever this other female role casting.

I just don't understand something. What kind of retarded logic would it be to NOT include Lois in the film?! Maybe 'Batman Begins' was a different story but in the Superman mythos, Lois Lane IS the gal! We don't need LANA. Umpteen years on Smallville, enough is enough! As for the blondes, some are suggesting that it's Chloe, some Cat Grant, some even SUPERGIRL! Now I doubt Supergirl is in this film, & probably not the other 2 either. Probably some made-up character like Rachel Dawes but WHY?????!!!!! Can someone explain where Nola......er, I mean, SNYDER, is GOING with this?! Do they WANT the film to succeed, or NOT?! GGGRRR!!!!! Evil or Very Mad

ya if its a made for film character i agree its a waste. I to dont really care to see lana lang. As for chloe i dont think they would use the character. MY guess is and i hope lois is in the film and just has a smaller/supporting role. And this role casting is someone else like cat grant or even ultimately a character like lara. They never did said in the variety article that this role is for a love interest. Just a female lead role. So i wouldnt mind if its like lara or a character like that.

Hopefully it wont be. But you are right right now its just a wait an see thing. Personally i would hope this non lois role is lara, cat grant, to maybe even mercy graves. Then lois is still in the picture and ends up being one of the folks from the lois contenders list we had.

My fear about the Lana theory is that we'll get a rebooted big screen Smallville.

Although I see the latest rumour is that they're casting Ursa.

Yea with the news now of ursa/foaora character being the female lead, and the story saying lois in indeed in the film. Hopefully we score a good lois actress and they use her well.
