So far it seems they're being a lot more "serious" about this reboot and not casting someone's beard to fill a slot.
Had to laugh, went with a mate to help him buy a new HD TV yesterday. The store had Singerman on all the sets......(great film to use, it's almost monochrome to begin with, looks just as bad on the cheap sets as it does on the top line stuff...)
But yeah, there was "the forehead" in all her glory, looking as dull, lifeless and uninspiring as everything else in that film.
Funny you mentioned that. When Singerman first came out on DVD around the holidays 4 years ago I remember seeing Singerman plastered all over their HDTV sets at Wal Mart & if I remember correctly, it seemed like they were playing things in a 'loop', the same crapola over & over.
Maybe in the near future they'll do likewise with a REAL Superman film DVD.

I thanfully haven't seen sr on screens in entertain, ent stores. Though I always see sr in bargin bins for like 5 bucks. But ya with snyder/nolan on this I am sure they will find the right talent and with folks like wilde/blunt/hathaway are step in the right direction in my book.

It's common practice. The cheapest form of video advertising, and don't forget Warners had a huge investment they were trying to claw back by spending as little money as possible. I think it's safe to say they realized REAL advertising money spent on that film was going down the drain.

Yeah, there's a lot of dead stock to move on that title! In fact, was it ever full price?
Down here an animated DC movie is about 3 times the price you can pick up Singerman for. What does that tell you?
Warners would have more success marketing that film exclusively to gay nightclubs and venues. You know, the film maker's intended audience.

The funniest part for me was seeing copies of it on the shelf of Best Buy with DUST all over them.

....and the cherry on the cake is the outright silence from people about "Singerman Returns Again" being dropped in favor of Snyder.
Thankfully it seems the movie going public are quite happy to forget it ever happened.

You've won me over!
An attractive, curvy, sexy-smart woman WHO CAN ACT as Lois?
Boy, they really might be learning the mistakes of Singer's "Priscilla, Queen Of Krypton"

She would be a great pick, young, good looks, popular actress, acts great in all her films. I don't see any bad marks with her.

Re: Casting Lois Lane
Well just saw tron, so finally got to check out wilde. I like her. If she is really in the running for lois she and hathaway would be two good choices and I will like them.

Okay, back now, so yeah, dunno about Lois, but she should definitely be in some kind of comic book movie.

Re: Casting Lois Lane
Actually, she does have a flair for comedy too. That sort of touch wouldn't hurt. Durance makes up for the terrible "humourous" lines they give her sometimes. I reckon she's underrated in that area.
The cliche is "If you can play comedy....."
Look at the bunch from Singerman. Funny as a heart attack, that bunch.

Re: Casting Lois Lane
I wouldn't mind someone who known/done comedy before to play lois. I made a comment like this ages ago over at the shh board when I went to the supes section. It would be a good thing to look into someone with a comedy background for lois. So we get good comedic timing and who can give us lois in many lights strong/bold/funny/caring and so on.

Re: Casting Lois Lane
well now it sucks that anne hathaway is off the list for superman since she will now be selina kyle/catwoman for batman. I cant wait to see who will be finale choices/ultimately picked for the role. I am sure it will be a good one.

Re: Casting Lois Lane
What's playing is reporting some possible contenders for lois lane:
kristen stewart(twilight series), malin a(watchmen), jessica biel, dianna agron(glee), and rachael mcadams. Out of these names I wouldn't mind malin, biel, rachel mcadams. Definately don't want kristen and as for glee actress I don't know her work so I don't have any hate/love for her. But I would also hope to see oliva widle land the role. Hopefully lois get signed asap. Can't wait to see who it. Is. I hope it will be good choice and work well off cavill.

RE: Casting Lois Lane
I don't know if this would work or not but in the past, ZOOEY DESCHANEL has been brought up, probably at other apologist-friendly sites, but I do remember her being mentioned as a possibility in the past, I believe even since the debacle we know as SINGERMAN. I have the DVD 'The Happening' by M. Night & she's in that. Maybe not the BEST film in the world although I enjoyed it. Anyway, I noticed myself that she has the Lois look but I will say this, in the MARGOT KIDDER kind of way. To me she sort of favors her, like a younger version. Of course they may not go THAT route because we don't want any CLONES this time around, such as ol' BJ, who was the literal living clone of REEVE!
Reboot means reboot so maybe it means a NEW look also but I can see where Deschanel could've been used. I also used to think SELMA BLAIR was a good candidate but I don't know whether she's too old now or not & I'm too lazy to google it.
