Henry Cavill Cast As Superman!

Caught the new images of last night and this morning on the closer up ones. Before I went to work this morning. Woot to finally getting some up close images of cavill in suit with/without cape on. So we can finally see more details on the suit. Like the detail on the cuffs. The strange looking accents also. The belt area is a bit strange too. But who knows if/what the suit may look like in post if any changes are made. If not I guess the accents on suit is there take on giving blue some breakup on the suit. Though I rather have normal looking belt and trunks. But the way suit looks probably is kryptonian related wear.

I agree whole heartedly!! It would also appear they are filming this fight scene without the cape, so will it be CGI'd in do you think?

Actually Rduce i believe all the photos we saw of cavill without the cape were from breaks in filming a scene/a scene channing and cavill/costume folks just dont want to get cape messed up before screen shot. I would see no reason why for a fight scene cape would be cg in. If anything a cg cape would only in my opinion be needed for a flying scene so it wouldnt get caught up in rig if it was a rig shot. If it was in a greenscreen room on platforms/tables or what have you i dont think cape would need to not be there. As long as they got wind machines to make it bellow and all.

I just think it's an insult to Cavill to have people claim he is wearing a muscle suit. See the pic where it looks like he's throwing a punch? His right forearm has veins showing thru the suit. Did they just decide to add veins in the FOREARM for no reason??

Good eye AP, Cavill definably looks like a Turner drawing come to life hell the suit in concept pretty much looks like it came from one of Turners panels as well.

In some of the shots you can see the vein on his bicep, definitely a muscle suit to bring out more definition on the suit. Also his 6 pack wouldn't look so defined like it would on the suit. However it's normal to have a muscle suit to help, keep the continuity of the actors build. One of the reasons Reeve look slender and bigger in different scenes. Cause he was bulking up through the filming of the earlier films. The muscle suit helps to keep the actor looking the same size.

Seeing veins = muscle suit??? What kind of fucking "logic" is that??



Apparently 63 year old Sylvester Stallone wears a "muscle suit" UNDER HIS SKIN.

Well AP in other photos it looks like hair isnt parted in any way and as we saw in the promo shot. The photographer probably just caught the hair/makeup person in mid makeup/hair fix up I figure.

No problem AP i was just pointing out in some different shots we have seen his hair in different styles like the first promo photo, to some of the other in suit photos, to the what likely are pre superman smallville scenes we have seen cavill in. Now ya i personally hate hair parted that way SR did more so if their was a S curl for Cavill. But it looks they are going more cain/reeves style of hair just combed back. But with Curl it definately needs to be way reeve had his hair parted. So the curl actually falls into a more S shape compared to the odd C like shape Routh had. Then it also could factor in what way cavill's hair patterns naturally do part?

Here's why the hair being parted on the right is just plain retarded, especially if they are planning to use a spit-curl:



An S starts left to right. Z's start right to left.

Since I'm assuming the suit will inherit the traditional colors that the suit has always retain for so many decades and Synder not making the same mistake Singer made involving altering colors I decide to do another rendering of the same manip that I posted previously only this time with the traditional colors that the suit had always retained!



Aleast this convinces me that the suit is definitly a much more improvement than the SR suit and I surely hope that this is what we'll see once filming & editing is fully complete!
