Why does Chris Evans seem so much "smaller" in the 'Avengers' costume?
And that woman has a healthy backside. I approve.

If true sounds pretty interesting.
Previously-Reported Villain For The Avengers Appearing After All; Possible Plot Details Revealed
While we still don't know the names of mysterious aliens in Joss Whedon and Marvel's The Avengers, here is something that confirms the "other" villain, plus some new info on what happens in the film. SPOILER WARNING!
I have to say, I wasn't sure whether or not to post this because of two reasons. First one is that this is something Marvel & Disney probably won't reveal in their marketing (posters, trailers, TV spots, etc...) and the second reason is that this will be a big surprise for the fans when they see the film. Having said that, I decided to post it because this is not something we haven't heard before. Those who read a report a while back about a certain villain in The Avengers, won't mind this, but if you don't want to know what happens in the film, please don't read anything below!
It's worth mentioning that this exclusive info I have contains some major plot details. Source who told me this, is the same one who gave me other details before on X-Men: First Class and another scene description from The Avengers involving Loki being captured by S.H.I.E.L.D. before we saw the teaser. Once again, spoiler warning! Just highlight the text below to read everything!
- Spoiler:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OK, so...The other big villain we will see is THANOS. Latino Review broke that news in May but since then it has been pretty quiet regarding that. Well, according to my source, he is indeed in the film and the mysterious aliens everyone is talking about, is his army. As for the plot details, well, it will be very interesting...Basically Thanos makes a deal with Loki (like Hiddleston said in one interview that Loki makes some shady deals) to get him the Infinity Gauntlet. He trades his army for the Gauntlet. And that's about it. No word on what 'Leviathan' is though.

Re: The Avengers News Thread
An 'unofficial' trailer for THE AVENGERS no doubt fan-made & assembled from previous Marvel films. Pretty good nevertheless. Hopefully soon Marvel reveals real footage beyond the teaser they already have.

UPDATE: Here are a couple of brief scene descriptions from Tumblr, where people are posting what are reportedly excerpts from Entertainment Weekly's story.
"In the sequence they’re about to shoot, Iron Man has just suffered serious ass-kicking, and Thor and Captain America are coming to his rescue. When Thor rips Tony Stark’s helmet free, the unconscious billionaire was suppose to wake suddenly, catch his breath, and ask, “What’s next?” Downey felt there should be more. Whedon agreed and put pen to paper, which resulted not just in a new series of exchanges between the three heroes, but a few alternates for Downey to say, giving the editors some options when it’s time to assemble the movie. One choice line from the bunch: “What happened?” Stark groans, coming back to consciousness as Captain America and Thor loom over him. “Please tell me nobody tried to kiss me."
[Chris] Evans raises another question as the cameras are about to roll. ‘Wait, how do I check for a pulse?’ he asks, realizing that Iron Man’s armor makes it impossible. [Joss] Whedon’s face furrows as he thinks. Right. ‘Press his chest, lean down, and feel for his breath,’ the director says.
"‘May I see that?’ he asks, reaching for Evans’ star-emblazoned shield. ‘May I?’ Evans hands it over and Downey spins it slowly like he’s studying a record for scratches. He attaches it to his arm for a moment, striking a defensive pose, then flips it over like a bowl and turns to a prop master nearby: ‘Put some nachos in that would ya?’"

Looks awesome. The new Cap outfit isn't terribly photogenic but it seems to look good in motion. Just might pick up that Entertainment Weekly.

What's up with Mark Ruffalo's look? Is he trying to be John Travolta in SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER?!
And seriously, when are we gonna get some pics of the HULK for crying out loud?! But yeah, I believe this film is gonna be awesome. WB/DC, are you taking notes?

Awesome indeed! My only problem is that they're still showing as little of the Hulk as possible but what they did show looked, well, awesome! Also, this trailer doesn't sound exactly like the one that was described the other day at that 'comic book' site, so was that a different one or what?

Re: The Avengers News Thread
I have not a clue. My hunch is that probably a couple of trailers have been made. Let's face it, this thing is Marvel's baby. It's where everything was always going for the studio and they likely have a LOT riding on this. I'd expect some really intense hype and multiple trailers.
That's my best guess.
As far as Hulk is concerned though... yeah, I'd have wanted to see more of him too. But, hey... multiple trailers, right? There's time.

Re: The Avengers News Thread
Tough to know just from a trailer but it looks like they're following the Marvel formula of putting the characters somewhat at odds with each other. They're not necessarily in lock step with one another just because they're on the same team. Hell, that's probably a primary subplot of the movie. The members uniting and working as a unit to take down Loki.Apologist Puncher wrote:The movie I am looking forward to most next summer. Love it.

Even so...
"I don't play well with others." If that line were to be permanently stricken from the lexicon forevermore... I'd cry tears of joy. Yeesh, that's almost as overused as "you don't know what I'm capable of".
