New Captain America Behind-the-Scenes Photos

Dec 26th, 2010A Dutch magazine visits the set
Dutch magazine Veronica (via The Chris Evans Blog) visited the set of Captain America: The First Avenger and published this article, which includes a new behind-the-scenes shots. While not much new is learned from the article, they mention that 25 shields were made for the production. Small ones were made for the fighting and running, and one was even made out of bronze that was impossible to lift. Chris Evans in some scenes threw a "green frisbee" that will be turned into the shield using special effects. We hope to have some better-quality versions of these images soon.

So was just over at cbm site. They git a article up claiming that acouple different forum sites are saying that michael giacchio(spelling?)may be up for composing captain america. He has done some nice work so if he does land the job can't wait to see what he brings to cap.

Totally agree there that 90s film was bad. My guess hugo will probably speak english with maybe a german accent. I don't recall myself if there was any reports on if he would speak english or not for skull.

With Weaving's voice and acting ability, him NOT speaking with a German accent will piss a lot of Captain America's fans off, I think....

As I see it, there are two major challenges in adapting Captain America into live action. First is the suit. Second is the name and the character it implies.

While the jury is most assuredly still out on the latter, the former, imho, is looking pretty good.

As I'm watching the NFL playoffs today and then getting ready to watch the Golden Globes later tonight, LatinoReview reader 'Dirty Money' alerted us that the LA Times has posted a new image from the upcoming movie "Captain America: The First Avenger," starring Chris Evans.

Check out the images below and let us know what you think of the pic.

Joe Johnston directed the film penned by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely.

"Captain America: The First Avenger" will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America.

The movie is due out in theaters this summer.
