Also in a recent interview looks like evans has confirmed how many films his contract with marvel is. Which is 6 possible films. 3 solo captain america films and 3 possible avengers films.

SEGA has announced they have signed film star Chris Evans to voice the title role in the upcoming action adventure Captain America: Super Soldier. The actor’s likenesses will also be used in the game, which is based on the seminal and iconic franchise from Marvel Entertainment.


“Signing Chris to star in Captain America: Super Soldier delivers the cinematic quality and emotional drive that fans expect,” said Gary Knight, Senior Vice President of Marketing at SEGA of Europe and SEGA of America. “Chris will help fuel the character’s mission as he battles through the enormous Hydra castle full of legendary villains in a completely original story.”


In Captain America: Super Soldier, players become Captain America as he faces the Red Skull and his Hydra army in an epic third-person action adventure set in the darkest days of World War II. Wielding Captain America’s legendary shield, gamers will engage in free-flowing combat and acrobatic platforming to infiltrate a mysterious castle overtaken by Hydra forces, where they’ll battle a host of nefarious enemies serving the Red Skull, including the infamous Iron Cross, Baron Strucker and Madame Hydra. Players must defeat the evil scientist Arnim Zola and his wartime experiments, combining powerful melee combos and shield attacks to devastating effect.

Captain America: Super Soldier is scheduled for release in 2011 on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, Wii and Nintendo DS.

American actor Chris Evans has acted in over 31 stage, television, game and film roles, before portraying the title role in the 2011 movie Captain America: The First Avenger and in SEGA’s upcoming game, Captain America: Super Soldier.

I was really excited about this movie but I didn't keep up with every single aspect of it. So it's probably not news to you guys that Cap won't be fighting the Nazis in this movie. Apparently it'll be HYDRA or some such. I've got problems with that. I mean, Cap's entire character was CREATED to fight Nazis. True, he deals with other foes later in his life but the starting point is the Nazis. So why the change? Apparently Germany has banned depictions of Nazis and/or swastikas (regardless of the context).

So Marvel Studios could either come up with a different organization for Cap to get his fight-on with or they could basically kiss the German market goodbye. And since they're still a fledgling start up, understandably every box office territory counts. Every last one of them.

I get that. It totally makes sense from a business point of view... but this is a pretty significant change being wrought on Cap's fundamental character and origin. It'd be like Superman arriving on Earth and then growing up with a twin brother. Or Batman's grandparents getting shot by Joe Chill. Or Peter Parker's cousin getting killed by a thief Peter could've stopped.

Each character would lose something in terms of who they are if those changes were made.

I'm not bitching about it, like I said I understand why it was done... I just am not very happy about this.

Colors from what I heard in recent articles/interviews from joe/other marvel guys. Is nazi's are in the film and still play a key role. Hydra agents are red skull's sub group of nazi's who work for him.

It's all PC bullshit. Gotta be "sensitive" to a country that enacted the wholesale SLAUGHTER of 6 million people. But bitch about America all you want. It's ok, WE deserve it!
