I'm just wondering. I know how to post images now but Web, how did you post ALL of those images so seamlessly? You know, without having to save each individual image & then post each one likewise until you have them all? This ain't the first time I've seen that on these forums & I'd just like to know.

Re: The Avengers News Thread
Maybe I'm misunderstanding you but those images are hosted on image shack. So all you'd have to do is put the URL of each image in between [img][/img] tags. So it's be:non_amos wrote:I'm just wondering. I know how to post images now but Web, how did you post ALL of those images so seamlessly? {img}http:whatever{/img}
Etc. Just change the {}'s into []'s. I had to use {} or else I think it would've attempted to insert a bullshit, non-existent image into this message. It's one of those things that's probably more complicated to explain than it is to do.
Bottom line? If it's already hosted online, you shouldn't need to upload it here (unless it's to resize the image down to something more manageable).

Re: The Avengers News Thread
Ya like colors was saying you just take the image from where ever you find it from. Be it like cbm, other entertainment sites, google what have you. Then if its not already a photo from a hosted site like imageshack, photobucket, etc... you take the link to the photo and do the host thing from here, also resize it if it need to be and then it gives you the hosted link for said image. Then you just put that in the quote/unquote thing and it posts the images. Then if you have it set one right after each other it makes it look seamless.

How's this for a news item?:
http://www.superherohype.com/news/articles/170003-soundgarden-records-first-new-song-in-15-years-for-the-avengers
What?! No AC/DC?! Unbelievable! Anyway, wait for duh Apologists to criticize this too. Why? Because of the 'heavy rock music'. Look! They'll say. TDKR has an 'excellent score' & no rock music. Then they'll bash on Zack Snyder before he's even put any rock music in MOS.

Soundgarden Records First New Song in 15 Years for The Avengers
by SuperHeroHype
March 27, 2012
Marvel Music and Hollywood Records announced today that Soundgarden has recorded its first new song in 15 years for Marvel's The Avengers in a press release that reveals the full list of artists on the 14-track album. Here's the full release followed by a snippet from Soundgarden's "Live to Rise":
Marvel Music/Hollywood Records announce the return of Soundgarden with the release of the band's first song in 15 years, "Live to Rise." The song will be featured in the end credits to this year's highly anticipated movie, "Marvel's The Avengers." "Live to Rise" is included on Avengers Assemble, a 14-track compilation of music from and inspired by the film. Avengers Assemble will be released on May 1, 2012.
Soundgarden stated, "We've been hard at work on our new album, which will come out this Fall. When the opportunity arose to write an original song for 'Marvel's The Avengers' film came our way, we thought it could be a cool match. We are excited to release our new song 'Live To Rise,' which is also the only new song in the film. Here's a taste. Loudest of Love."
Also, The Avengers original motion picture soundtrack, with score by Oscar-nominated and GRAMMY-winning composer Alan Silvestri ("Captain America: The First Avenger," "Forrest Gump," the "Back to the Future" trilogy) will be available at online retailers on May 1, 2012.
With over 21 million records sold worldwide, Soundgarden redefined rock music for a whole generation and had a revolutionary impact on the course of musical history. At the dawn of 2010, the band, Chris Cornell, Matt Cameron, Kim Thayil and Ben Shepherd, announced a new beginning. In the last two years since Soundgarden has reunited, they have headlined festivals, toured the world and released their first retrospective titled Telephantasm which included the previously unreleased song, "Black Rain" and their first live album, Live on I-5. The press has exalted their return to the stage and the music scene. Rolling Stone called their headline performance at Lollapalooza "an epic set ... a blueprint of the Seattle sound," where the Chicago Tribune hailed them as "one of the last great hard-rock bands to emerge in the last 25 years." The band are currently in the studio in Seattle writing and recording their first LP in over 15 years, which is set for release in 2012.
In addition to Soundgarden's "Live to Rise," the Avengers Assemble collection features original songs inspired by the exciting and action-packed film event. The diverse range of artists includes Rise Against, Shinedown, Bush and Redlight King.
The Avengers Assemble track list follows:
1. Live to Rise Performed by Soundgarden
2. I'm Alive Performed by Shinedown
3. Dirt and Roses Performed by Rise Against
4. Even If I Could Performed by Papa Roach
5. Unbroken Performed by Black Veil Brides
6. Breath Performed by Scott Weiland
7. Comeback Performed by Redlight King
8. Into the Blue Performed by Bush
9. A New Way to Bleed (Photek Remix) Performed by Evanescence
10. Count Me Out Performed by PUSHERJONES
11. Shoot to Thrill Performed by Theory of a Deadman
12. Wherever I Go Performed by Buckcherry
13. From Out of Nowhere Performed by Five Finger Death Punch
14. Shake the Ground Performed by Cherri Bomb
ADDITIONAL TRACK ON THE INTERNATIONAL RELEASE:
15. Pistols At Dawn Performed by Kasabian

Re: The Avengers News Thread
The fact that it's rock music doesn't bug me. It's more that it's Soundgarden we're talking about. I was just never into those guys. Does make me wonder how, if all, this "reunion" will affect Matt Cameron's membership in Pearl Jam. But then again (A) they've pretty much sucked ever since he joined up and (B) not like it matters anyway, Pearl Jam isn't ever getting another fucking nickel from me and (C) none of this has jackshit to do with the topic at hand. So hmm.
Anywho. Apologists. Yeah, they're going to bitch and complain. It's what they do. It's funny, they criticize movie execs for having way too formulaic a view of How Things Should Be Done... but they somehow overlook their own formulaic (borderline inviolable) "rules" for making a superhero movie. And I guess in relation to that, Zack Snyder pretty much epitomizes everything they hate. And Nolan epitomizes everything they love. And yet, I'll take Watchmen over either Nolan Batman movie to this very day.
So in the final analysis, they can all fuck off as far as I'm concerned.

Good find there on the soundtrack. Personally i dont mind the rock music either. I think it fits for certain characters like ironman/spider-man and to a degree hulk. But that is a sweet lineup for the soundtrack and its not like they wont have musical scores too.

Yeah, the aliens look real and the Hulk looks real. The action looks real. But believe it or not, I think it was the comments at one of the other sites, possibly SHH, where someone said that the aliens look like 'the living dead'. I guess we don't have to worry about apologists becoming an endangered species.

Funny you should mention that cause a few number of people speculated that those so-called mysteries aliens are actually the Disir, who were once valkyries from Asgard who were cast to the realm of the dead by Thor's grandfather for rebelling against him. Which pretty much make sense considering that they seem to look like they hail from Asgard (Except with high tech weaponary) and Loki somehow gain control of them after plunging into the same realm their from after his fight with Thor.
Here's an example of what they look like...
Now compare that with Loki's army in the film!
