'Man Of Steel' Set Pics/Vids

I just got word from Comicbookmovie.com that photos of possible sets are being assembled and according to the article the location of the sets are taking place at Chicago & Plano, Illinois! It's also been determine that these sets are suppose to serve as background scenes most likely for Smallville, Kansas!

Well its nice to see set contruction starting up. But ya not much of anything yet.

Well, it didn't work for me as usual! Anyway, the pic appears to be 'Lois & Clark', played by Cavill & Adams, with Lois apparently being in on the secret identity. If you go to the Facebook page you can see a bigger image by clicking on the pic. Or just click on that Photobucket link. Interesting though, Cavill doesn't look all that big so I don't know if this was a 'screen test' pic or what. Maybe someone can find out the story behind this?

Now that you mention that, it does bring to my remembrance seeing something like that on Smallville but that didn't even cross my mind until your post. I guess I saw that info & got excited. Apparently duh apologists are taking it & running with it but if it's already been proven otherwise, then why are they doing that? Just more Internet meddlings? But where was it shown to be fake, just out of curiosity? Now that you pointed out SV, I see what you're saying. I'd just like to know how it got started. I don't really like 'getting had' like that.

could this be a super fight in smallville, a torando attacking town and clark saves the day in flashback, or maybe a homage to sv with a meteror shower bring clark to earth?

It could be more of the latter since that have to explain how Kryptonite was found on earth and how the Kents found Clark without the detection of eye-witnesses and I think "Smallville" kinda had the right idea and nailed it!

It took a while for me to warm up to that idea (for some reason) but I have to agree.

As to what the damage is... hell if I know. But it seems obvious that Snyder is shooting for a bit more of a small town vibe for Smallville than ghost town like STM and Singerman did. What a nice change of pace.

I too thought meteror shower entance for clark's ship was good in smallville. But they did get a bit to excessive with the amount of kryptonite and meterors. If they do that for man of steel maybe just a couple meteror strikes. Or they can go easy route and save the ship had some cloaking tech from satelittes and all.

Actually for an advanced civilization, it'd make sense to have some sort of cloaking device tech. Maybe the notion on STAR TREK isn't so 'far-fetched' after all. You can bet if the real tech sector could ever develop some such, then they will.

And I have to disagree vehemently.

How many times does it have to be repeated that they can't afford to give ANYONE reason to complain, or call it unoriginal? After having the 'Smallville' meteor shower shown every single week for 10 years, they are not going to re-do it on the same scale for 'Man Of Steel'.

Also looks like that smhp rumor from a few weeks back about an ihop sign is true. I still think its a bit odd of product placement for the film. But I guess will have to wait and see where they go with it.

Oy. It'd be sort of nice to have a Kent house that doesn't like it's two seconds away from being condemned. But SV had a fairly nice farm house so maybe they're trying to avoid that.

ya it is very rustic looking for the kents, maybe it could still be painted and look a bit better. or they choose to have it look that way as the kents might be old school farmers and probably low on cash and all that.
