Want to see why Hardy as "Bane" is horrid casting?
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is TALLER THAN TOM HARDY.
More pics at the link.

I'm no expert on choreography and film production and that stuff but, putting aside Hardly Bane for a few moments, that sucker looks like it would've been a pain in the ass to coordinate, what with all those extras and stunt people fighting and what not, the various steps and whatnot Bale and Hardly Bane have to go through, etc.Apologist Puncher wrote:
As to the obvious... it looks like Hardly Bane is (somehow) kicking Batman's ass in that sequence.

Re: 'The Dark Knight Rises' Set Pics/Vids
Man, Hardly Bane really sucks huh?! I don't know what Nolan was drinking? Or smoking? You tell me. How is this supposed to top Heath Ledger's performance as pseudo-Joker in TDK?! I mean, whether you liked that or not, it made a cool billion. I know, I know, the 'Elvis Syndrome' was no doubt at work too but still..........
Now with THE HULKING 190-LB. BANE we've got some of the worst miscasting in film history, even if Hardly can act. That is, unless the MIA Finian is right & they 'CGI' him. Funny thing that. Ain't this part of the reason he left in the first place?

Fucked if I know, who'd have thought expressing an opinion would lead to someone having a little temper tantrum like that? I expect that from Eunuch and co. but I'd always thought we Realists were made of sterner stuff.non_amos wrote:Now with THE HULKING 190-LB. As to the CG thing... IF that was the route they were going to take, wouldn't Hardly Bane be wearing some sort of green suit? Or a mo-cap onesie? Or those little track markers on his joints for later CG enhancement? The animators need some sort of reference and without those things... again, I'm not an expert on film production but I'd like to think I've got some kind of insight into image manipulation. If Nolan is planning some kind of CG wizardry, I don't see where he's left the door open for it. Methinks Hardly Bane in that production video is more or less what we'll see in the final movie... albeit placed MUCH closer to the lens to give the illusion of being massive.

Batman And Bane Go Head To Head On Empire Magazine Covers
By Andrew Weymes on November 18, 2011
What's this, some official stuff coming out of 'The Dark Knight Rises?' It's been so long. It's a foreign concept. But, what with filming wrapped, the prologue hitting along with the IMAX version of 'Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol' on December 16, and the full trailer being attached to 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows' on the same day, it was to be expected.
Empire Online has posted a couple of covers for the upcoming issue of their magazine that feature Batman (Christian Bale) on one and Bane (Tom Hardy) on the other. The catch is, they won't reveal either until you vote on which one you want to see first. Unsurprisingly, Bane is ahead in votes as he's much less exposed than his competition if you overlook the plethora of set photos. Hit the link to vote yourself.
An interesting thing to note is that this "Batman vs. Bane" style of marketing falls in line with a rumor that came out just a couple of days ago. You can never put too much faith in a rumor, but since one bit is ringing true, maybe the rest will as well. Check them all out here.
Honestly, if you're reading this, you've probably already seen more of Bane in photograph form than you should have in a lifetime. The most interesting thing about the cover is the promise of "official pics" and director Christopher Nolan actually talking a bit about the film. Even amid photo leaks the likes the world has never seen, the man and everyone involved with the film have been as tight-lipped as can be.
'The Dark Knight Rises' hits theaters on July 20, 2012.

There seems to be some sort of texture on his skin on the right hand side, near his shoulder. Could just be goose pimples on a cold set... but it does make me wonder if there are other makeup effects going that I at least haven't noticed.non_amos wrote:I don't see any CGI on mini-Bane. I doubt it'll make much of a difference to my impressions of the final product but I figured I'd throw it out there anyway.

Here's another official photo of Tom Hardy as Bane from the pages of the next issue of Empire Magazine, prepare to have your jaws dropped!!!
Not bad for someone being dubbed as "The Hulking 190 lbs. Bane" huh?

Re: 'The Dark Knight Rises' Set Pics/Vids
I wonder how they're gonna spin the pic of Harvey Dent into it? Bane gonna try to get the public's sympathy by turning them against Batman? But yeah, as for those pics, like's already been said.
EPIC.....FAIL!!!!!

This picture reminds me of this scene from a recent 'South Park':
"What 'Sup bro?"
