I stumble upon a youtube video of Kevin Smith doing some sort of comic stand up involving him ranting about "Superman Returns" in which I assume this take place two years after SR was release aleast according to the date that the video was posted!

This is definitly a must see for all SR bashers/haters...

It always amused me that Singer compared the sequel that never got made to Wrath of Khan of his own accord and straight out of the gate. WOK was intended to be a sort of warm reboot to the franchise. True, it didn't reset continuity but at the same time I don't think it referenced too much of anything from STMP.
