Christopher Meloni To Co-Star In 'Man Of Steel'

Christopher Meloni, who a month ago surprised everyone by exiting his longtime home as co-star of NBC's Law & Order: SVU, is in line for a big-time follow-up. I hear he is in negotiations for a major role in Man Of Steel, the Superman franchise reboot from Warner Bros that Zack Snyder is directing. No word yet on what part he might get, though. He would join such big-name players as Russell Crowe, Julia Ormond, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane in the film, which stars Henry Cavill as Superman and Amy Adams as Lois Lane. Meloni is repped by Gersh and Industry Entertainment.

Just read the news myself. Another good addition for the cast. I can't wait to see who he is. Top three choices I think would be perry white, lex luthor, or maybe even general sam lane.

The exact choices that duh apologists are saying! Luthor, though, seems to be the favorite. They say he has that 'Lex look'. Maybe soon we'll know what his role is.

I def be fine wih him if he is lex. More so if we get the ruthless corp business lex we need to see. Then they could also play into the whole rise/fall as president over film series. That is something I would love to see. Also at least for this film have lex be a smaller supporting role. To slwly build him up. Like him only having scenes with maybe lois/clark, and general lane if in the film. And maybe a scene with superman. With lex having his hands in everything bad with the city. And clark/superman knows it and all. And then he could also be tied to sequels with teaming up with brianiac, to creating metallo/parasite and so on.

Definately it would be a bit pointles to have him be a general and not include sam lane.

Well a little disapointed here in the press release that came along with the cavill photo today, it mentioned who everyone was. Looks like chris role is of a colonel hardy, man i really was hoping he would have been general sam lane. More so with what looks to be military playing a role in the film. Hopefully general lane is in the film and just hasnt been cast.
