Anyone else get a 'Star Trek' vibe off of this trailer?

Re: 10.19 - Dominion (Spoilers)
Well tonight was the 19th episode of the finale season. The episode was titled "Dominion". It was Written by John Chisholm and Directed by Justin Hartley. It featured the return of the phantom zone, oliver queen, and zod. Also was the directorial debut of justin hartley.
The storyline was about clark going back to the phantom zone to find out and stop escaping prisoners. There they run into zod who has taken control of the zone.
I really liked how they mentioned how zod got to the zone, and that he was merged with general zod phantom. Both things i was happy to get explained and they did that. The plotline with zod in league with darkseid and his plans for the zone and earth were very nice too. Love how everything is all connected.
John wrote a very solid script, good plot, and action scenes within the episode. One of his better episodes in the series. The storylines with the zone and with tess/lois was well thought out and played out nicely.
Tonight was also justin hartley directorial debut. I think he did pretty good for a first time director. His camera movements, and shot angles/blocking was all good. Pacing was good and he had some wicked fight scenes. So congrats to justin on his directing. I would hope he continues to do it in the future with other shows or films(feature/shorts).
On to acting tonight starting with Tom of course. Tom played clark very well tonight. Having the plan with tess, and wanting to keep earth save and stop the zoners. His scenes with zod were played out very well. Also of emotion and drama out of those scenes.
Erica as lois was very good tonight. She was warm and caring with clark. and tough and badass to tess. She played all the emotions very well. Cassidy as tess was pretty good tonight. She played her as well as always.
Justin as ollie this was his return to the show after a break away for a few episodes. He was good and bad ollie pretty good. Also interesting to see how he will play as agent of darkseid.
Callum return as zod was wicked. He was great as he was all last season. His scenes with clark and ollie were very good. It was great to see him one last time.
All in all a very good episode, good plot and nice direction from justin. I enjoyed every moment of the episode. Cant wait to see the last few episodes now. The promo for next week was also pretty wicked sweet. Sucks only so little time left in the show.

RE: 10.19- Dominion (Spoilers)
I found it interesting how they had Zod & crew being 'catapulted' into space via the 'floating window pane' like they were in the 1st Reeve/Donner film. Hopefully though the film reboot will choose not to pay homage.

Re: 10.19 - Dominion (Spoilers)
Callum was less annoyingly British. Through out season 9, it's like he overdid his accent to remind us all that, yes, Zod has a British accent. I guess Hartley directed him to speak more normally this time out. As a result, his voice and delivery sounded a lot more natural.
Someone around here called the merging between Phantom Zod and Flesh & Blood Cloned Zod. It's a good move, it validates both characters, but I might've preferred the Phantom Zod utterly subsuming Flesh & Blood Zod. Oh well, a lost opportunity.
And yes, the Kandorians sent Zod to the Phantom Zone. The Eunuch page Apologists bitched and moaned about that little "plothole". I wonder if they'll post retractions or apologies for once again jumping to idiotic conclusions? Doubtful. They'll continue making fools of themselves to the bitter end.
Overall, I wasn't really hip to this episode. It's okay but it felt like all it really did was set up a resolution to Oliver's omega storyline without advancing much of anything of the narrative. I don't want to use the "filler" shit because that's Apologist Speak 101 but apart from some Lois/Clark stuff and the Ollie angle, I can't really think of too much from this episode that advanced much of anything.
The Orion thing was cool. I somehow doubt we'll actually see Orion in the few episodes we have left (but that would've been cool) but at least we know what Ollie intends to do about the omega thing.
Overall? The episode wasn't bad, Hartley acquitted himself well as a director but it doesn't seem like this episode really went anywhere.
2/5 (the first 2/5 of this season, actually)

Re: 10.19 - Dominion (Spoilers)
I was a bit so so on this one, tbh. Hartley's direction seemed lacking, but for a first time effort what can you expect? I'm not sure of the wisdom of breaking in a new director at this point in the show's run, but I imagine it was on Hartley's wish list when negotiating this season. Post production must be working overtime with all the deliberately odd color grading lately!
Strange that Blue's portrayal was so different to last season's. I enjoyed his more natural approach this time, but it was an odd creative decision after all his previous appearances.

Actually, according to the end of the episode, the show advanced 3 weeks.....
I got nothin'.

Re: 10.19 - Dominion (Spoilers)
I was actually paying a lot of attention to Zod's female "henchwoman" Boobula.
Seriously, she's in and out of the episode, but look at her around the 3:08 mark on.
She is AMPLY talented!

RE: 10.19- Dominion (Spoilers)
One thing I forgot to mention earlier. What did y'all think of the 'slow-mo' fighting that was 'shades of Snyder'? Does anyone know if duh apologists have complained about this yet? I'm sure a quick trip to duh Homopage could possibly confirm suspicions & maybe I'll do that after a while. I know they're concerned about Snyder doing this in the reboot. But so what?! Wouldn't it look cool to see SUPERMAN landing a blow to the jaw of General Zod (played by Michael Shannon in this case) in 'slow-mo'?! To see Supes' fist connect with his jaw, first with speed, & then appear to be frozen on his jaw, while the blood & spit fly out of his mouth?! And then 'vice-versa'?! I mean, Zack Snyder is already known for this style. I think he did an GREAT job with this technique in both 300 and WATCHMEN. He'll certainly use it in MAN OF STEEL so duh apologists might as well accept it! But I believe Snyder will know what he's doing & won't necessarily over-use it.
But yeah, someone used this on this episode of SV so does anyone know what the motives were behind this?

I think it was their continued "homage's" to previous hit movies.
In THIS case, '300'.

Re: 10.19 - Dominion (Spoilers)
Father I believe in one of the hartley interviews he did this week he said when he returned in season 8 as a series regular that directing one something he wanted to do and he said jokingly that souders/peterson said if they get to a tenth season he could do an episode.
