Re: Visuals You Would Like To See In The Reboot
Still got my boner for Pre-Crisis stuff. The Silver Age is what it is. And in some cases, it's fairly simplistic stuff from an adult point of view. It's worth remembering that it was intended for a significantly younger audience though. I remember really enjoying Silver Age stuff when I was a kid so I'm fairly certain it plays pretty well. And Superman #149... now THAT is a REAL "death of Superman" story!
The Bronze Age stuff though... man! Top quality in most cases! Apart from the Kryptonite Nevermore arc, you really don't get too much de-powered Superman stuff. He's a step or two away from the Almighty Himself in terms of raw firepower. Don't get me wrong, I like the less powerful Byrne Age Superman at least as much as the next guy but there's a lot to be said for the ridiculously powerful Pre-Crisis/Bronze Age Superman.
Plus, as this future Facebook cover shows, it's at least implied that Clark and Lois knocked boots, did the hibbity-dibbity, played hide the weenie and then danced the horizontal lambada in the Bronze Age.

Some nice thoughts guys would be curious to seee films use those stuff. Would make for some cool ideas/visuals and all that. I never read those periods before my time but maybe some day I should look into those eras.

Not sure where else to put this, so I'll put it here.
I know when we first saw Cavill as Superman, I commented how much he looked like the Ed McGuinness Superman. But having seen some of Dough Mahnke's art again recently, I think Cavill is more in line with HIS work. Take a look:
Now, that's not to say I think he DOESN'T look like an Ed McGuinness Supes, but I just feel more of a Mahnke-vibe nowadays.
Thoughts?
