Jason Momoa to Play Aquaman in ‘Batman V. Superman’

“Game of Thrones” actor Jason Momoa has signed up for the role of Aquaman in Warner Bros.’ “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
Variety reported in December that Momoa was in talks for the Zack Snyder-directed tentpole, scheduled to be released May 6, 2016, with Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman.
Other cast members include Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred while Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane reprise their roles from “Man of Steel.”
Snyder is directing from a script by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing.
Aquaman first appeared in DC Comics in 1941 and is a founding member of the Justice League of America. The studio is planning to shoot “Justice League” after it completes “Batman v. Superman.”
Momoa played Khal Drogo in the first season of “Game of Thrones” and starred in 2011’s “Conan the Barbarian.” He is repped by APA, Kritzer Levine Wilkins Griffin Nilon Entertainment and Edelstein Laird & Sobel.

he was on jimmy kimmel last night. kimmel kept trying to get it out of him at the beginning of the interview. mamoa didn't admit to being aquaman in the movie. but he certainly didn't deny it either.
he also said something along the lines of - "how cool would that be".

He's Aquaman.
Expect the Bros. Warner to do what Marvel Studios did with 'The Avengers' a few years back:
Unveil the whole 'Justice League of America' cast at Comic Con.

Eh. I guess the most I have in terms of an opinion is that I'm happy that Aquaman's finally getting some respect. I mean, picture the intro for the Superfriends. If you knew only what that intro showed you, you'd think Superman was the gold standard of Badass, Aquaman was a very close #2 because he can telepathically control some seriously scary shit, Wonder Woman a distant #3 with her lassoing and flying an invisible fucking JET and Batman's their butler or something because he was expected to pick up Wendy and Marvin after their movie was over.

Badass Digest have a piece up looking at the possible meaning behind that "Unite The Seven" tag on the Aquaman character image released by Zack Snyder last night (the popular theories are that it either refers to the seven members of the Justice League or the Seven Seas), but they also drop some interesting Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice details. In the shooting script they claim to have seen, Aquaman has only a very small role, making it all the more surpising that an official look at the character would be released over a year before the release of the movie itself.
The site reveals that "Aquaman is barely even present, showing up only in a survey of metahumans by Lex Luthor and then again at the very ending, when Batman recruits him for the Justice League." They add that The Flash also has only a very small role, something we've heard a number of times in the past. What's interesting about this information (if true) is that Lex Luthor will know of the world's superpowered individuals - using him to introduce them to moviegoers makes sense - and that it's Batman who puts together the Justice League.

Back when Smallville was big on TV, people whined that his outfit looked ugly. Too orange.
Now there's a photo (in B&W as far as I know) of a very different Aquaman and people are griping about the lack of orange.

And those same people would be complaining that Snyder has no "vision', "too corny", blah blah blah.
