Gina Carano Should Be Wonder Woman
If it ever happens. See 'Haywire' if you doubt me. Nothing "great" about it, just a decent action movie. But she has EVERYTHING Wonder Woman needs:

Re: Gina Carano Should Be Wonder Woman
Sounds fine to me. Adrianne Palicki would've been my best idea but Carano looks way more the part.
A friend of mine suggested Rashida Jones a while back. I like Jones as an actress and everything, don't get me wrong, but she always seemed kind of short and compact for the role. A bit too pixie-like for Wonder Woman. Plus... I dunno, she sorta has this East Coast vibe to her.
Carano? Yeah, she doesn't have those issues.

Re: Gina Carano Should Be Wonder Woman
Looks great to me!
But has anyone even considered casting her for the role, seriously, for a theatrical film? I know duh WB made a mess out of the pilot for the proposed series & can't seem to do anything but Batman films. However, some inspired casting like this might could make a difference. The problem is, I don't have much faith in duh WB.

The biggest problem is wb needs to get the right folks on producing there dc films. And the right pair of writers/directors who get how the characters tick. She would be a solid choice or the other. But with how wb is we probably won't see them as a big screen ww. Since it probably would happen at the rate wb goes once they past there prime.

And Carano was an actual MMA fighter, so fight scenes would be more believable.

I loves me some Rashida Jones.
But no.
Carano? Yeah, she doesn't have those issues.
None whatsoever.

This. Very important.Apologist Puncher wrote:And Carano was an actual MMA fighter, so fight scenes would be more believable.
Look, I love Buffy as much as the next guy. I'm a Buffy fan. That said, it was usually pretty easy to tell when SMG was doing her own fight scenes vs. when her stunt double was carrying the load. Call it sexist, I don't care, but I'm really coming to the belief that actresses need a metric fuckton of training before they can really do martial arts choreography convincingly. Men? Less so. Maybe it's just because we've got it in the blood, I dunno. But esp in SMG's case, she held her fists too close inward, she strained her torso to achieve her high kicks, she usually looked off-balance, her feet were spaced too far apart, , etc etc etc. The list just effin' goes on. And she's not unique in this regard. Yeah, Carrie-Anne Moss did some great fight scenes in the Matrix movies but for every one of her you can mention, there have to be at least four or five other actresses out there who, shall we say, are slightly less convincing.
Anyway. I guess here's the point. The fact that Carano did MMA... well, call me crazy but, again, I don't think she'd have those issues. If we were talking about Lois Lane or something, I could let it slide. But, y'know, Wonder Woman kinda sorta totally has to be able to scrap down with anybody anytime. And if the actress can't sell me on that...
This is all just a long-winded way of saying "yeah Puncher, I agree with you".

I AM SO FOR THIS.
Much sexier than fanboy poll winners like Megan Fox.

Re: Gina Carano Should Be Wonder Woman
I doubt megan would ever been a option., she I recall dissed the role before. And with her bad mouthing bay/spielberg. She is lucky to have ant career nowadays. Carano would be a great pick. But like I said above at the rate wb is going. We won't see ww or others ever get off the development stage. Which I am still like they get it for animated stuff. How dam hard is that to translate to live action stage.
