"Captain America" Creator Joe Simon Passes Away Aged 98

The legendary comic book writer who created iconic Marvel superhero Captain America in 1941 has sadly passed away at the age of 98.

The Beat reports that Joe Simon, creator of Captain America, the Sandman, the Fly and many, many more has passed away at the age of 98. This site claim that this sad news was revealed by his son on Facebook. We'll bring you more details as soon as they become available. Our thoughts go out to Joe's family and please feel free to pay your respects to the creator below.

Sorry to hear that, my condolences. I just hope there ain't any greedy heirs for that bottom-feeder Toberoff to parasite off of. Heirs is fine, just not that kind.

I dont think we have any problems with heirs and copyright deals with simon i never heard of him having problems with marvel and all that.

I'm sure WB and DC thought they were on good terms with the Siegels in 1998.
