10.17 Kent (Spoilers)

New episode tonight. Its finally here the last run of the series.

Well tonight was smallville return finally. And the start to the finale run. So sad its so close to the end. Tonight's episode was the 17th episode of the finale season. Titled "kent" directed by jeannot szwarc and story by genevieve sparling and teleplay by kelly souders and brian peterson. We saw the return of alt world from luthor, the evil clark luthor, and also the alt world jonathan kent.

Got to say it was a great episode tonight. I really enjoyed the story sparling/souders/peterson. I liked we got to see the alt world one last time and see how it is since luthor. It was cool to see clark luthor survived from last time. I really like how evil and creepy he truly is.

The story with him coming here to take over and clark trapped in alt world was some great parallels for the life sessions each clark had. Clark luthor being maniuplated sob and clark kent trying to bring good out of alt jonathen. I liked that clark was able to help change both of there lives.

Also the storyline about moving away and leaving ties of smallville was heart warming and touching. There was some nice clark and lois scenes. Also the ending with alt jonathen finding martha was nice. Also it was cool to learn gold k exisits in the real world too. Hope emil and tess will get rid of it for clark's protection.

Direction from swarc was pretty good tonight. His pacing was well throughout. Also blocking and camera movements where nicely done. I loved they kept the montone look of alt world. Also he got good work out of all the regulars and guests tonight. So another good episode out of him.

Acting tonight was great all around. First up tom, he really plays evil well. And I know tom has said he loves playing clark differently. So he probably had a good time as cl. He was very creepy and seductive as evil clark. As regular clark he was good as usual. He was warming and touching.

Erica was great as both lois's. She has been doing great all season. I enjoy having her all season long this year. They been developing her great. Also the growing relationship with clark been great. Emil

Cassidy was good as tess tonight. She is struggling for good side and the darkside she has in her. Also cassidy has been doing good this season. I have enjoyed her also. Also emil actor wad great to see again. His work was pretty good. I liked seeing him again.

John s return was nice. I enjoyed seeing him again. The alt world jonathan was cool. Nice to see him in a different light. He did great tonight. I can't wait to see his next appearances.

Tonight was a great episode. I really hated the long break. So it was great to have it back. Really going to miss the show. But will enjoy the rest of the run. They did good work today. Also next week booster gold/blue beetle episode looks to be a fun one. All an all a great episode.

Hope you don't take this the wrong way Webhead but I was fairly certain you'd post a basic synopsis of the show tonight as to what went down so I waited for you to do the 'heavy lifting'.

Anyway, interesting that the funeral did mean the death of alt-Ollie. I guess 'Ultraman' got the best of him when he got back previously. Also kinda odd how alt-Jonathan's anger seemed to be more directed at the QUEEN'S as opposed to the LUTHOR'S, when we know it was directed at Lionel & Lex in the regular universe. But it was good to see Clark get through to him.

In spite of Clark Luthor's evil, our Clark still got through to him in the end. Also interesting how Clark had regular Stamp/Jor-El transport Clark Luthor to his own Fortress to meet alt-Stamp/Jor-El. With the end of the series appoaching, it's doubtful that they'll really re-visit that anymore. I guess you'll just have to use your imagination.

One of the most intriguing things of the evening wasn't even the episode itself but rather the 'promos' for the FINALE! One had Clark standing there with the Superman silhouette with cape flapping! Only this time, you could tell that the image was parallel to TOM WELLING, not Brandon 'BJ' Routhman! We also heard the Williams theme of course. Another interesting promo showed various previous cast, including 'Lana' & 'Lex'! The promos were great imho!

Really enjoyed this ep tonight. Had to minimize the running back & forth from the TV to the computer!

Ya it was a great episode tonight, and no problem non with what u said at start of post. For me I like to do recap of things in episode for my reviews helps me remember everything when putting my thoughts out. I too really liked the finale promos. The longer one was my fav.

It was pretty good. Flying would alleviate those "commute" issues they were having though.

Just sayin'......

Easily one of the best this entire season. Which is saying a lot.

And yeah, that promo freaking ROCKS. Deep down inside, you all know it too.
