Zack Snyder praises SV
Putting this here since it's not really connected to the reboot. One wonders if we'll see this on the Younis page anytime soon...
Eat it, Apologist douchetards!
Did you catch that? "Smallville, by itself, quietly has kept Superman in consciousness in a way that...". Go ahead and listen to the original audio there, he emphasizes the "by itself" bit. And of course he's right, no doubts there.Zack Snyder to Fox All Access wrote:"I'll say one thing. I'll say, thank God for Smallville. Smallville by itself, quietly has kept Superman in consciousness in a way that with out it my kids really would be like, 'Who the hell is Superman? I don't even know who the guy is!' I think that in that way Smallville has done an amazing job of just keeping that icon alive and breathing. He is on life support, but he is there. And I thank them for that."

It's up there, and the Apologists are already at "work"
http://www.supermanhomepage.com/news.php?readmore=9474#comments
As you know, Snyder has ONLY made one movie. And Smallville only lasted ONE season, right?
As if Singerman wasn't forgotten within WEEKS of it's release.
What an asshair.
Ah, the Apologist "tactic" at it's worst. "duh pepel i no neva see du Smallville cuz it suxor so dat meen wut Snyder say iz wrung!!!!".
Seriously, what kind of piece of shit comments on something they claim to NEVER have seen? I guarantee you, if you could look into this little butt-pirate's basement on Friday nights, 'Smallville' would be on his TV.
That and gay porn.

Wow. Talk about being damned by faint praise! People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, Snydie Pants. Sucker Punch is nothing to write home about.

Thankfully smallville will be a distant memory by the time the new Superman movie is out.

My 2 year old niece and 5 year od nephew know who Superman is and they love him. They have never seen an episode of Smallville. Zack Snyder is making so many statements, as of late, pertaining to Superman. Some have had some incite into what he wants to do but other comments have been idiotic at best. I am tired of his bashing of previous movies and television shows. I hope that very soon, he will just stop talking about eveything that is wrong with Superman and make a great movie. One thing is for sure. After "Sucker Punch" it is obvious that Superman is saving Zack Snyder! Although Snyder would have you believe the opposite. Zack Snyder is not Superman's saviour. Superman is much bigger than Snyder, Nolan DC and Warners combined!

A nice comment from snyder. Also what fools those idiotic comments where. And as for sucker punchm I haven't seen it yet, but like watchmen it was more a niche film plus historically must female lead action films haven't done that great(at times).

RE: Zack Snyder Praises SV
More infinite wisdom from duh Homopage:
This is from the guy who supposedly replace Fagley. So Smallville wouldn't have made it past Season 1 on another network huh?! Have you ever stopped to think that maybe it did make it because it dared to be different?! Instead of following a formulaic, 'cookie-cutter' appoach, they dared to do something different. And it worked! Gee, do you reckon that had anything to do with it?!

I watch Smallville. Have from the beginning. There are things I like, and things I vehemently despise about the show. Mostly, it's the vague resemblance to Superman that bothers me. In fact, I still talk to people who don't realize this is a show about Superman. Is the reason because it's so dark and depressing? Is it because Clark doesn't often act like the Superman most people know? Perhaps.
Ultimately I'm glad Smallville was on and I'm hoping they wrap it up well. I haven't really recieved any proof that they will, what with more time coming up wasted on Booster and Beetle, while we've already had drunken stupor episodes and premature relationships and meetings with other characters. But I can hope.
On the "ten years" thing. This show only lasted this long because of the network it was on. For said network, this show is a success. Lois & Clark had higher ratings, but was on a major net, and then Disney bought that net and started sweeping changes, so L & C was ended. Smallville and its' creators are fortunate to have had the WB/CW as the network for them because if not, based on history, on a major network they'd have been lucky to get past season 1.

Non, you need to keep your expectations in check. Asking for logic and reason from people who think Singerman deserved a sequel is a losing battle for the get-go.non_amos wrote:More infinite wisdom from duh Homopage:#20 | Scotty V on March 29, 2011 9:13am EST

....and still they turn a blind eye to the show's well known sales status, on sell through and download. Not to mention international sales in territories where Singerman opened and closed in a heartbeat.
And that's the guy who replaced Bailey? Surprise, surprise.....

Duh HomoPage is Duh HomoPage.
I saw their stupid "Superman On TV" section, and it appears Eunuch is MAINLY putting Australian TV showings now. Which is fine for Australians, no doubt. But what about everyone else?
He's retarded and can't even do a simple internet search for TV listings......

That'd be like making a serious effort.
Time/Warners should pull whatever accreditation that clown has.

Have you seen Eunuch whining in his "comments section" that he DOESN'T make money off his shill-site?
Only an Apologist would believe THAT shit....

Re: Zack Snyder praises SV
You can safely assume people like Snyder would also appreciate the show's production standards. It has deservedly won cinematography awards over the years, and quite frankly, even the very worst episode story wise would have been shot in a way that makes much more expensive productions look inferior. I assume the DOB does the color grading, but whoever does deserves credit. It certainly looks and sounds even more amazing on Blu-ray!
You can see over the course of it's run it has become a much more "economical" production, but they certainly do get a lot of bang for their buck.
That's the sort of stuff that the hacks on the Homopage wouldn't even notice. They really understand the medium........
