Haven't you heard the stuff that people are saying about Superman lately? Cause I certainly have but I also never agree with them!!!

I wouldn't mind if the trunks were replaced with a red belt. That could be the best way to break up the blue.

Though If they wanted to change the costume, it really should have happened years ago.

So, you are saying "replace" the red trunks with a red belt that makes you picture the red trunks that were there in the first place?

Not really crazy about any of them. Those designs unintentionally emphasize how important the trunks are in the graphic design scheme of things. None of them really scream "Superman" to me without the trunks.

There is no need to change ANYTHING about Superman. Singer tried changing the costume into a wierd fetish outfit and also his personality by turning him into a stalker/homewrecker/irresponsible moron and look what happened.

I think the fact they used them, and said Cavill didn't look "ridiculous", means it was a test to see how he looked WITH the trunks. If EVERYONE who tested looked bad with the trunks, they would have been ditched. I promise you that. Cavill didn't.

trunks should stay. the suit like the crest is iconic.

once people start tinkering with the costume we get the abomination that could have been the tim burton movie.... people's ego get in the way and start putting their "signature" to the costume.

That suit is horrid. Superman should NEVER wear "armor". Leave that for the weaklings like Iron Man and Batman.
