I think this is BS doing what he did with 'Avengers: Age Of Ultron', and trying to "steal thunder" from the Bros. Warner's Wonder Woman news.Bryan Singer Announces X-MEN: APOCALYPSE For 2016 Release
Not a rumour, not a hoax and most certainly not just silly speculation! 20th Century Fox and director Bryan Singer have today announced that X-Men: Apocalypse will be hitting the big screen in 2016. Hit the jump to find out exactly which date it lands on!

Well, I think it's fair to say that none of us saw this coming! As you can see, Bryan Singer and 20th Century Fox have today announced that 2016 will see the release of X-Men: Apocalypse. There's currently no word on whether the movie will focus on the original team of X-Men or the First Class bunch, but with Hugh Jackman committed to another solo Wolverine movie, it might just be a safe bet to say he WON'T be a part of it. Of course, stranger things have happened, and it may even be a spinoff featuring an entirely new cast of characters. We just don't know at this point! How do you guys feel about this news? Be sure to sound off with your thoughts in the usual place!
Guy's a fucking idiot.

Hey Puncher, do you remember way back in the Singerman Sucks blog's heyday where Apologists were dropping in fairly regularly and giving us shit because we basically called Bryan Singer an asshole for things like throwing the marketing department under the bus, wearing jeans and a t-shirt to the Singerman premiere and all the other bullshit he pulled? We called him an asshole for behaving in such an unprofessional way. And the Apologists said we were out of line for calling him that?
Well, I guess between Singer's "unfuck" comment and now this stupidity we've all been vindicated, what do you think?
Seriously, Bryan Singer is a total dickhead.
EDIT- Oh, and the Quicksilver thing too, silly me for forgetting that!

Colors, I do indeed. And it is IMMENSELY gratifying that BS has proven us RIGHT with his own words and actions.
I love being right.

It's like anything, I doubt we'll get much public vindication but it is nice to be proven right.
As a side note, I don't even know how Bryan the Asshole even has a job anymore. Valkyrie was a joke that didn't exactly light the box office on fire but it remains his professional high point for the last six years... which is pathetic if you think about it. When the most important thing you've done in that long a stretch is babysit Tom Cruise between Oprah Winfrey meltdowns, you know you're probably done in the industry.
In fact, my guess is Singer knew damn good and well if he makes another stinker, he's out, so it's back to the well with X-Men, which is practically guaranteed to do decent ticket and Blu-Ray sales. But somebody needs to get Singer a handler or a flack or something to keep him on a leash anytime he's in near proximity to a microphone.

Re: BS Claims 'X-Men: Apocolypse' In 2016
Proving once again that BS HATES comic books, and is limited in his "vision", here's a possible description of the 'X-Men: DOFP' after-credits scene:
I pity X-Men fans. We Superman fans only had to suffer thru him ruining Superman ONCE, they'll have AT LEAST two more....
- Spoiler:
- http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/JoshWildingNewsAndReviews/news/?a=91102"The credits bumper jumps back to the past with a young Erik Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender) in a ramshackle house in the desert eating dinner, clearly on the run from all the authorities who want to bring him down. While using a well outside to get some water, the young Magneto sees something fall from the night sky and crash to Earth nearby. Upon inspecting the impact zone, he encounters what is described as an "alien form" who is "towering, terrifying, with a twisted metal face and dark pits for eyes." It's Apocalypse and he says, "I have crossed rivers of time to find you." Magneto asks, "Who are you?"
The alien responds, "I am your future." Suddenly Apocalypse merges with Magneto, who screams and blasts an insane amount of energy and shockwaves around him. This energy explosion levels everything around him, with a blast radius that goes for miles. As Magneto looks at what he's done, he has a realization of the power he now holds and a villainous grin begins to form before the film cuts to black."
So, CAN'T make an X-Men film WITHOUT Magneto as the main villain? Have to turn Apocalypse into some weird "possessor" instead of a physical threat? Show him for 3 seconds then *POOF*, gone?
I pity X-Men fans. We Superman fans only had to suffer thru him ruining Superman ONCE, they'll have AT LEAST two more....

This is one of those characters I'd hoped to see done right someday.
Looks like I'll have to keep waiting.
