The Rock: "I'd Be A Great Superman!"

The Rock, who is rumoured to be on the shortlist to play the superhero, said he was friends with the new movie's director Zack Snyder but they hadn't discussed the film.

"I love Zack Snyder, I'm a big fan of his," the action star explained at the Hollywood premiere of his new movie Faster. "We're buddies and I don't believe (the rumours) to be true. But I would make a great Superman!"

In the star's latest action role, he gets plenty of opportunity to flex his acting muscles, playing a pumped-up newly-released prisoner who's out to avenge his brother's murder.

"I was emotionally exhausted. The physical (part) was one thing, I can enjoy that, but the emotion... I didn't have a lot of words but you're still carrying everything internally," he said.
