Re: "The Bat"-Copter
You NEED to post a link where you got that picture, especially since you pulled it off another site.
We might need to think of a "punishment" for people who don't post links.

Re: "The Bat"-Copter
You HAVE to post links, we have made that clear repeatedly.
That said, I don't know what the hell that is.

Harry here... just got sent this video from Dan S - who caught the Bat-craft banking through the streets of Gotham! So cool! I have also just gotten it confirmed that what is in the videos below is the BAT-COPTER - and that the blades will be added in post. Can't wait to see this sequence!

Re: "The Bat"-Copter
It has that 'tumbler' look to it too much. It just doesn't look good right now, not like the 'Batwing' in the Burton film. When that made its' 1st appearance, it got immediate audience reaction in the theater I was in back in the day! Of course, remember, it's 'in Nolan we trust'.

If this is true that I'm curious to know why not use animatronics instead of CGI for the propellers? And which spot (I know it should be on top) could the propellers be placed on without the risk of scratching or damaging the armor?

Re: "The Bat"-Copter
Probably because they want to direct the copter using a crane and physical blades might interfere with the dexterity of control a crane would offer them.Comicbookfan-V2 wrote:If this is true that I'm curious to know why not use animatronics instead of CGI for the propellers? Re: "The Bat"-Copter
You know, it follows the Tumbler "model", but I have one question:
Why would they design two totally different vehicles that do two totally different things to look the same?
Makes no sense.

Merrick here...
You know that black, Firefox jet kinda flying contraption which flashes past in the current DARK KNIGHT RISES trailer? The one we saw all the spy photos of a few months back? The one which looks like this?
Over the past few months, we've heard many different names attached to this device: Batplane, Batcopter, etc. - but no one's known with any level of certainty what it'll actually be called.
Apparently, Hot Wheels has a remote control toy of the vehicle in the works, and recently filed details on said plaything with the FCC. WirelessGoodness and the FCC (via ComingSoon) now reveal that the registered name of Batman's new flyingmajiggie is: "The Bat."
Yeah. "The Bat." So...there. I wonder if the real plane will run on AA batteries as well? Could be an awesome plot point.

I've wondered a few times now if TDKRises is going to be the one where even the Nolanites turn against him. I mean, you can only bullshit people so many times, right?
