Not really happy about that, actually. Except for the freaking symbol on the belt (can SOMEbody explain that trend to me please?), I dig the costume he's been wearing in Batman- The Dark Knight.
Yes, I'm collecting a Batman title.

Caught the cover yesterday. As I thought just like supes no trunks. But for bat,an to me he doesn't really need it. As we seen in films. Also it looks a bit armorish too.

Re: Re-Designed Batman #1 Cover
At the very least, I'll be checking out Batman. I've admired Greg Capullo's work ever since the old Spawn days way back when. The guy understands pacing, page structure and general storytelling as well as possessing a proper mastery of light/shadow, perspective and all the other tools of the trade. I've wanted to see what he could do with Batman for a long time now so him finally getting a chance is a-okay in my book.

It just cracks me up that "Batman" still looks exactly the same as Batman. Nope, no double-standard HERE!

Well, their "answer" to that is that Batman's costume is redesigned.Apologist Puncher wrote:It just cracks me up that "Batman" still looks exactly the same as Batman. Nope, no double-standard HERE!
Well. If you define that to mean "in any way different to how it looked pre-Flashpoint", yeah, that's true.
But if you define it to mean "a substantive change in the characters basic appearance that has been in place since his inception", well, not really.
Unless I'm missing something, they basically just added some seams to the same basic outfit he's had for years. Hell, I would've been okay with them keeping the current outfit with the glowing bat symbol. Seems I'm the only one who digs on it but I like it. Looks cool on the page. I'll be sad to see that go, esp for essentially more of the same.

Don't forget, they gave him some new gloves. So he is "different" from the other versions of Batman out there, right?
Hello?
Right?
