The Singerman Suit In Smallville
I was thinking about something while watching Smallville tonight, in regards to BJ's fetish-wetsuit.....
The ONLY thing that I can think of to "justify" them using it in Smallville is this:
Clark has pretty much worn a t-shirt the entire run of Smallville, so that crappy t-shirt collar would seem "normal" to him.
I know, I know, the producers more than likely WEREN'T thinking that when they cut corners and chose that POS. But still, it's something.
Right?

Re: The Singerman Suit In Smallville
sure i too hated seeing it in lazarus but from most interviews with the producers they said they only using it as a prop for the show. We dont even know if welling would ultimately be wearing it. Plus even if it was what tom would wear it would have to be edited to fit him since his and routh's body at the time the suit was made are different. But i am sure in the end they will have their own take in final episodes. Only nice thing i can say is with smallville's fliters and cameras the colors look better, and it doesnt look like they used that shower curtain looking cape for sv.

Gotta come down with webhead on this one. And even if the SV folks use the Singerman wetsuit for their outfit, it'll at least have actual reds and blues to it. It doesn't seem like they dug the Singerman fetish outfit out of storage. It looks like their version is kinda sorta based on that outfit but has different colors (which alone implies they redesigned the thing).
But yes, it's still a lousy choice.

Actually colors as much as I wish it was a new suit that was used in the first episode of the season. It was just the suit from sr. Just with the cameras and fliters sv uses make the crappy colors look better then how singer film made it look. Though still hate the suit myself. As for any changes from the looks only thing changed was the cape. Cause it doesn't look like the rubber material sr had on it.

It bothers me that in the season finale last year, they teased the REAL Superman "S" in his eyeball-reflection, then used that stupid Singerman suit in the opener.

Re: The Singerman Suit In Smallville
I'm thinking what we've seen so far is just a prop, and that the real deal is being tailored as we speak. Last week's Supergirl proto outfit was a good effort. Although we've had a few views now of Singerman's plastic \S/...sadly.
I still recall the statement that the outfit was going to be a work in progress throughout the final season too. That and the fact that there'd be no way on earth Welling could fit into something designed for Ruth!

Re: The Singerman Suit In Smallville
well to be technical in smallville they have used both the classic reeve/superman style S and the more modern/SR style too. So i guess they just like using what ever they can.
