Sequels That Disappoint
We all have one or a hundred, but I'm curious about some movie sequels that you looked forward to, but ultimately left you feeling disappointed.
I'll start with one I just watched recently, that I wish I hadn't:
'Tom Yum Goong' 2 or 'The Protector 2' (2013)
I loved 'The Protector' when I first saw it. Tony Jaa was incredible in it. The guy just threw himself into the action scenes, and kicked an amazing amount of ass. The end fight sequence ALONE made the movie worthwhile. So when I heard they finally made a sequel 5 years later, I was stoked.
Until I saw it.
For some stupid reason they decided to load the film up with horrid CGI. Used green-screens for multiple backgrounds. Let RZA play the villain. Unconvincingly. And choreographed some utterly disappointing fight scenes.
It was just plain BAD.

Re: Sequels That Disappoint
So apparently I'm the only one to be disappointed in a sequel?

Re: Sequels That Disappoint
Iron Man 2
Singerman (it's obvious since it's why we banded together in the first place but still)
Pretty much any sequel to Dirty Harry
