I've always wanted to divorce Alan Moore from the cult-of-personality that has sprung up around him. There are droves of fans out there who are Moore devotees and put him on a pedestal that honestly I thought he would resent.

That's in the past.

Now I think that by whatever means (osmosis or whatever else) his followers have correctly identified how Moore views most comic book collectors and desperately want to avoid being painted with the same brush.

I have sympathized with Moore on a great many of his sentiments but this is one time when I give him the ol' one-fingered salute. Fuck you and the horse you rode in on, you pretentious, self-absorbed cock.

The guy is so far up his own ass that he doesn't realize what he just said goes DOUBLE for him. He couldn't even TRY and claim he doesn't "love"the medium he makes his money in, including the characters. So if someone just enjoys READING them and is "subnormal" emotionally, what is someone who LOVES them so much he made it his CAREER?
