Check out their Wonder Woman costume for their next XXX parody:

Axel Braun dropped this shot of Kimberly Kane as Wonder Woman in his WONDER WOMAN XXX: AN AXEL BRAUN PARODY - and the subject line of the email was: "David E Kelley can Kiss My Ass Wink"

How can they keep doing what WB just doesn't seem CAPABLE of doing??

Saw the pic but didn't realize it was from a porno. Damn, that's pretty good quality by any standard, much less that industry's.

You can easily tell by these productions that the filmmakers love their work, and I'm not talking about the sex. There's a lot more thought and heart involved with the "parodies" than one should expect, they come off more as homages. The Adam West Batman one is a prime example. They actually worked their asses off (no pun) on getting every detail right from the nuances to the lighting, ect.

FFS, the love for the productions they homage are much more apparent in these porns than Singer's love for Donner's Superman in SR.

Now that's a point, actually. The pornos seem to have love for those things. Singerman comes off almost like one filmmaker obsessively stalking another filmmaker. The comparison might never have occurred to me if you hadn't brought it up.

It's just strange to hear Singer claim how much he loved the Donner film and how it influenced him, that SR was supposed to be his love letter to that flick. Yet there's little you could find in SR to suggest that other than ripping off plot points and dialogue bits. Sorry, but you can't replicate the Mankiewicz touch unless you bring in the man himself and let him rewrite the whole damn thing to give it the kind of sharp wit and heart it should have had.

I one time threw out an idea that more or less stuck with the bones of Singerman's plot but changes some details to make it less of a slap in the face to the Donnerverse.

Why?

Because at least Nic Cage would have played his OWN Superman, and not crapped all over what Christopher Reeve had done previously. I would have seen it, said "Man, what the F was THAT??", and then forgotten about it. Simple.

But Peeps took a Superman, and Superman film series, that I have enjoyed since I was 3 years old and dumped a steaming pile of shit all over it. It was unforgivable, and any TRUE fan of the character couldn't possibly like it.
Yep. And the real hell of it is that I feel like there's a good movie lurking somewhere in the core concept of Singerman. Singer, oddly enough, is probably the guy least qualified to tell that story but it felt like you could've taken the basic concept and done something that really honored the character. Hell, you could even have done it in the context of the Donner continuity!

Basically, you retroactively establish that Superman's powers were on temporary loan following the events of Superman II. Jor-El didn't permanently restore Superman's abilities, he simply gave them a stay of execution. After Zod and co are dealt with, Jor-El again strips the powers away for five (or however many) years and then Clark lives on Earth only as Clark. Superman would never abandon Earth if he was the only superhero in the game so if you must tell a "Superman returns" type of story, you don't have him blow town willingly. Disillusioned, Clark eventually leaves the Planet and Metropolis and goes off to do his own thing. Basically, Jor-El only gives them back after Superman shows genuine repentance for what he's done and only because he knows Lex Luthor is up to something. And then... Superman keeps his word and ACTS LIKE SUPERMAN.

You set THAT into the story and also set up that The Kid belongs to Cyclops from a previous relationship, The Kid doesn't think of Lois as Mommy and she and Cyclops aren't engaged or living together and... well, I won't say you've got the greatest Superman film ever but you'd have something that does a damn sight more to honor the Donneverse as well as Christopher Reeve's memory than anything you saw in Singerman. I realize those are all POS ideas up there but if I can come up with something off the top of my head that's better than Singerman but still uses the core concept, surely a real writer (ie, not the high schoolers from X2) could do something even better.

The only thing I'd change now is that Jor-El recalls Superman to the Fortress for some remedial lessons so that he is taken out of the picture completely against his will. Otherwise, I stand by the above.

Colors, taking that idea you have there in that post, just imagine that if your idea had been done at such a time that Christopher Reeve really was still in the picture. Say it was either before his accident or.....if by some stroke of luck he'd never had the accident due to having more active work. Anyway, the point is, he reprises his role, even though he may have aged a little. Ditto for the rest of the cast. You then possibly get Donner to direct the thing even as vindication for past woes. The Salkinds don't necessarily have to be in the picture but at least have someone competent there in their place. So you proceed with proposed changes to Singerman & voila'! A much better film! Even if 'Jason' had turned out to be Superman's son it still could've been played out better especially with Reeve's performance.

Another idea would've been to use the same concepts but have a new cast but not the cast they actually ended up with. And no Singer either. So maybe you have Gerard Christopher taking over the mantle which I quite frankly am sorry it never happened! So either with Reeve or a new cast we still would've had a better film.

As for Singer's 'plot' I know I've posted on these boards before but remember early on what it was reputed to be? Superman learns that Krypton may not have been completely destroyed so he goes in search of survivors. Meanwhile, in his absence, Lex Luthor is pardoned of his crimes & actually wins over the public's support! After all, Superman was really an alien & who wants that, right? So Luthor turns public opinion against Superman, even making Supes look like he deserted mankind. So when Superman does return he has an uphill battle even fighting against this very fact. Now even a film like that could've worked. But no! For reasons unknown to me Singer changed his plot points. Instead we get a Singerman who could've been gone 100 years for that matter & still returned to a standing ovation!

That would work to the story's benefit. Among Singerman's myriad problems was how young most of the cast skewed. The leads should've been somewhere in their late 30's, Jimmy in his late 20's, Lex in his late 40's/eary 50's, Perry in his late 60's, etc. The whole concept that Singer came up with (but was too chickenshit to carry out) was these were all veterans. There was supposed to be a long history behind them... which Bosworth and Routh couldn't sell because of their age alone (forget their tepid performances for the moment). So if you'd done this type of movie with Reeve in the early or mid 90's, he would've been the perfect age. Ditto the rest of the cast. And you could even set it up as a sort of swan song for that universe. I might've hated it at the time when I was a kid but I'd probably appreciate it now. Esp considering what we got.

Gotta tell you, dude... I'm sorry about it too. I mean, I like Lois & Clark but would I sacrifice that for a real Superman film starring Gerard Christopher? Bet yer ass I would. I won't argue that his would've been the definitive Superman but he would've done the role proud, in my opinion. Crying shame it never happened.

Besides, I've come to regard the Superboy show as a sort of alternate universe of the Donner canon anyway. Parallel realities aren't exactly foreign concepts to that series, you know? The point of divergence in this alternate world is that Clark managed to save Jonathan when he had a heart attack. That became the light switch moment. "These powers aren't to score touchdowns. They're to help other people." So rather than being whisked off to the Fortress, he became Superboy and got started early but without any "training" from Jor-El. He'll eventually reach the same point as Reeve's Superman; he'll simply take a different path to get there.

All I can say is WOW!!! I can't believe how a porn industry put so much effort in making costumes like those that should belong on a motion picture scale. And something like this couldn't be done in Hollywood because...?

My compliments to the designers BTW!
