Grain of salt:

Not related to the video above:

http://www.filmschoolrejects.com/news/the-expendables-2-poster-plot-synopsis-cannes.php

“The Expendables are back and this time it’s personal! After Tool (Mickey Rourke), the heart and soul of the Expendables, is brutally murdered on a mission, his comrades swear to avenge him. They’re not the only ones who want blood. Tool’s beautiful young and wild daughter Fiona embarks on her own revenge mission, complicating matters when she is captured and ransomed by a ruthless dictator plotting to destroy a resistance movement. Now Barney and the Expendables must risk everything to save her and humanity.”

Would be cool for them to be in sequel. I still haven't seen the first myself yet.

^ Dude, you NEED to see it. It's the sort of action movie Hollywood just doesn't make so often these days. And hey, maybe Arnold can do a proper role in the movie this time around.

As long as they stick to the basic formula, a sequel can only be a good thing as far as I'm concerned.

I actually bought this in a used book store a week ago & I still haven't watched it yet. I do intend to, just when is the question.

Uh, no. I guess I'm just too much of a horror & sci-fi freak to really take the time with films like this. But to be fair I also bought used THE WOLFMAN with Benicio Del Toro & Anthony Hopkins & I haven't watched it either so go figure. Oh, &..........

AHH-NULLLDDD!!!!! Laughing

Oh, & Webhead, there's any number of film sites that you can watch these movies online at. I just don't know if I'm supposed to post the links to them here? What say you AP?

He's going back to acting, apparently. Stallone even said he will have a "bigger role" in 'Expendables 2'.

No, best not to. That's what the PM feature is for...

Van Damme confirmed as the villain, with a fight scene against Stallone himself. Chuck Norris to have a Willis-type role too:
http://themovieblog.com/2011/09/van-damme-and-norris-join-the-expendables-2

Scott Adkins added to cast:
http://www.cinemablend.com/new/The-Expendables-2-Enlists-Scott-Adkins-26864.html

Liam Hemsworth, Chris' brother who was supposed to be in the first film, also in the cast:
http://screenrant.com/liam-hemsworth-expendables-2-sandy-132605/

Nic Cage and John Travolta MIGHT join-up too:
http://movies.yahoo.com/blogs/the-projector/expendables-may-nicolas-cage-john-travolta-because-why-160247674.html

This movie is going to kick so much ass it's foot will have a crack in it.

JCVD vs. Stallone? Chuck Norris?

Excuse me, but it seems like every time I think the sequel can't possibly get any more badassed, they find some new way to prove me wrong. To hell with MOS, bring this sucker on already.

Chuck Norris!:

BTS of EXPENDABLES 2 - Coming up, CHUCK!
Published at: Oct 22, 2011 5:58:28 PM CDT

Hey folks, Harry here... I'm not allowed to ever get in a vehicle with Chuck Norris. I hear he is fantastic, and I have in fact met him briefly here in Austin once. BUT - I'll never get in a car with him. You see, years ago I got a call from a reader in Australia who, whilst washing the dishes had a disconcerting waking vision of my and Chuck Norris' death. He called to tell me that he doesn't believe in this kind of thing, and that he's never had a VISION before, but that he'd feel awful if I were to die... and CHUCK NORRIS... so... I can't get in a car with Chuck Norris, because apparently a SEMI will run into us and kill us. NOW... because we know Chuck Norris has no known weakness... I figure, so long as I don't get in a car with him... he'll pretty much be around forever - and that's what keeps the Aliens from taking over!

I can't wait to see EXPENDABLES 2. But AB KING is ever-watchful for images from it! SO... here ya go with the BTS shot from a future flick:

Sad news:

http://www.latinoreview.com/news/-the-expendables-2-stuntman-dies-in-explosion-another-hospitalized-15222

'The Expendables 2' Stuntman Dies In Explosion; Another Hospitalized
By Andrew Weymes on October 28, 2011

The updates on 'The Expendables 2' thus far have all been fun: who's being cast, posed set photos and the like. Sadly, today's update is nothing short of tragic. MSNBC reports that a stuntman whose name is being withheld was killed last night on the set in Bulgaria. It appears to be the case of one of the film's explosions gone wrong. Another man was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.

Nu Image/Millennium Films confirmed the incident in a statement to Deadline. It reads:

"It is with great regret that we confirm this unfortunate accident. Our hearts go out to the families and those on the production affected by this tragedy. The filmmakers are working closely with the authorities in responding to and investigating this accident."

With the veil of internet anonymity, it's easy to crack jokes about a man literally dying on the set of an action film, but stay classy. No film is above a human life. At the end of the day, they're just entertainment. Hopefully the person who's in critical condition pulls through.

None of the cast -- which consists of Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and more -- were on location at the time of the accident. They were instead on another set a couple of hours away.

'The Expendables 2' comes from director Simon West, and hits theaters next year on August 17, 2012.

Word got around last night that Stallone landed the lead in a new film, 'The Tomb.' For more on that, hit the link.
