We Were Right About That Piece Of Shit All Along... Bryan-Singer-Photo-620x400

Lawsuit alleges Singer “manipulated his power” to exploit 17-year-old boy

“X-Men” director Bryan Singer is being accused of drugging, raping, and using his power to exploit a teenage boy in a lawsuit filed Wednesday, according to court documents obtained by TheWrap.

According to the lawsuit filed in federal court in Hawaii, plaintiff Michael Egan, who was named in a press release by his lawyers, was 17 when he was forcibly sodomized by Singer, among other accusations.

Defendant, BRYAN JAY SINGER, manipulated his power, wealth, and position in the entertainment industry to sexually abuse and exploit the underage Plaintiff through the use of drugs, alcohol, threats, and inducements which resulted in Plaintiff suffering catastrophic psychological and emotional injuries. Defendant Singer did so as part of a group of adult males similarly positioned in the entertainment industry that maintained and exploited boys in a sordid sex ring. A Hollywood mogul must not use his position to sexually exploit underage actors.

The suit alleges Singer provided Egan with drugs and alcohol and flew him to Hawaii for sex on more than one occasion in 1999 where Singer continued to “anally rape” him, and claims that Egan was not the only underage boy who was abused.

Plaintiff has requested a jury trial and is seeking an unspecified amount in damages for charges of intentional infliction of emotional distress, battery, assault, and invasion of privacy by unreasonable intrusion.

The lawsuit was filed a month before the release of Singer's next movie, “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” is due to be released. A representative for Singer did not immediately respond to TheWrap's request for comment. Nor did a representative for Fox.

The abuse allegedly began in 1998, shortly after Egan was lured to parties at a house in Encino, Calif. where a high school friend lived, the lawsuit claims. The house, known as the M & C Estate, was often the site of “notorious parties” where adult males allegedly preyed on young boys, the lawsuit claims.

According to the lawsuit, Egan was a model and aspiring actor.  The documents claim Singer told Egan at one such party that “the adults who resided in or frequented the M & C Estate controlled Hollywood and could decide whether Plaintiff's career aspirations and hopes would be realized” and was also present when Egan was warned to keep those men “happy” or else he and his family were in danger.

The men supposedly told Egan they were sure he was homosexual according to their “gaydar,” even though Egan told them he was straight, and plied him with drugs and alcohol against his will and often without his knowledge.

“Plaintiff was often forced to consume alcoholic beverages and drugs, and was also surreptitiously administered drugs when they were placed in beverages that he consumed,” the lawsuit reads.

One of the men who allegedly lived at M & C Estate, former Digital Entertainment Network chairman Marc Collins-Rector, is accused of initiating the sexual abuse of Egan and arranging for Singer to assault Egan as well.

Approximately 2-3 months after Collins-Rector began sexually abusing Plaintiff, Defendant Singer was socializing with Collins-Rector around the estate's swimming pool and Plaintiff was in the pool. In compliance with the “rules” imposed by Collins-Rector that people in the pool area were not allowed to wear clothes, Plaintiff was nude as was Defendant Singer.

Collins-Rector ordered Plaintiff out of the pool, and Defendant Singer hugged Plaintiff and grabbed his bare buttocks. They then went to the jacuzzi where Collins-Rector had Plaintiff sit on his lap and fondled Plaintiff's genitals. Collins-Rector then passed Plaintiff to Defendant Singer and Plaintiff was made to sit on Defendant Singer's lap.

Defendant Singer provided an alcoholic beverage to Plaintiff and mentioned finding a role for him in an upcoming movie that he was directing. Defendant Singer told Plaintiff how “this group” controls Hollywood, and that he was sexy. Defendant Singer masturbated Plaintiff and then performed oral sex upon him. Defendant Singer solicited Plaintiff to perform oral sex upon him which Plaintiff resisted.

Defendant Singer flagrantly disregarded Plaintiff's unwillingness to submit, and forced Plaintiff's head underwater to make Plaintiff perform oral sex upon him. When Plaintiff pulled his head out of the water in order to breathe, Defendant Singer demanded that he continue which Plaintiff refused. Defendant Singer then forced Plaintiff to continue performing oral sex upon him outside of the pool, and subsequently forcibly sodomized Plaintiff.

Collins-Rector, a convicted sex offender who pled guilty in 2004 to luring five minors across state lines to have sex with them, was also accused of holding a gun to Egan and threatening to fire if he continued to resist submitting to sexual contact.

That threat supposedly convinced Egan to continue complying with Singer's alleged requests for sex when he was flown to Hawaii. Singer also allegedly promised acting roles to Egan if he complied.

Defendant Singer promised acting roles to Plaintiff in an ‘X-Men’ movie, in commercials, and in other of his projects, and professed that he would arrange for Plaintiff to audition for roles and projects in others’ productions. Often when Plaintiff dared to resist the demands of Defendant Singer, he threatened to report Plaintiff's refusals to Collins-Rector which frightened Plaintiff due to Collins-Rector's history of threatening harm to him and his family, his previous display of the firearm, his having previously locked Plaintiff in a gun closet, and the presence of firearms in the Paul Mitchell estate.

During the first Hawaii trip, Singer allegedly “put a handful of cocaine against Plaintiff's nose and forced him to inhale it” and “provided Plaintiff with a beverage which he drank which significantly impacted his consciousness and his motor skills” before anally raping him twice.

During the first of the above-referenced trips to Hawaii, Plaintiff was instructed that he would spend the first two nights in a room with Defendant Singer. During the first night, Plaintiff took a long walk by himself. When he returned to the Paul Mitchell estate, he came across Defendant Singer who was in the pool area. Defendant Singer verbally and loudly confronted Plaintiff for not having been available for him earlier and demanded that he undress.

Defendant Singer frightened Plaintiff by pushing him into the pool, and rebuked Plaintiff for his attitude and reminded him that he was there to keep people happy. Defendant Singer put a handful of cocaine against Plaintiff's nose and forced him to inhale it. Defendant Singer then provided Plaintiff with a beverage which he drank which significantly impacted his consciousness and his motor skills.

Defendant Singer then entered the pool where he nonconsensually masturbated Plaintiff and performed oral sex upon him. Defendant Singer caused Plaintiff to rub his erect penis against Defendant Singer's buttocks. He forced Plaintiff's head underwater and made Plaintiff orally copulate him. He then caused Plaintiff to get out of the pool and lie face down on a lounge chair. To continue the sexual assault, Defendant Singer spit on Plaintiff's buttocks, spanked him, and forced a handful of cocaine onto Plaintiff's face.

He then anally raped Plaintiff. He subsequently caused them to go to the jacuzzi where he provided another beverage to Plaintiff. Defendant Singer attempted to insert his penis into Plaintiff's mouth which Plaintiff resisted, but he ultimately was able to force his penis into Plaintiff's mouth. Defendant Singer then assisted Plaintiff to their room where he again anally raped Plaintiff.

Attorney Jeff Herman said he planned to file more lawsuits against Singer and others involved in the alleged parties.

“Hollywood has a problem with the sexual exploitation of children,” Herman said. “This is the first of many cases I will be filing to give these victims a voice and to expose the issue.”

Herman previously represented the five plaintiffs who accused Sesame Street Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash of sexually abusing them. Three of the suits were dismissed due to the statute of limitations running out, however, the plaintiffs vowed to appeal. One other plaintiff dropped his complaint, and a fifth plaintiff's suit is currently active.

Clash resigned from Sesame Street in November 2012, after the second accuser filed suit against him.

Pamela Chelin and Jethro Nededog contributed to this report.

If you want to know what kind of vile pieces of shit Singer's "fans" are, go here: Assholes Defend Pedo By Attacking Victim

Read them blame the accuser. Read them try to infer this is a "plot" to ruin the new 'X-Men' film. Even read one of those ignorant pieces of shit saying the accuser needed to "learn to fight" to stop being raped.

Fucking unbelievable that there are little pricks like this out there.

Been incredibly busy for this past few days so I'm only just now seeing this.

I hate pedos. They can all die in prison as far as I'm concerned. But Corey Feldman has gone on the record repeatedly that molestation and shit is very much the norm in Hollywood. It happens literally every fucking day. And it's because of predators like Bryan fucking Singer.

People, the rumors were ALWAYS out there. And I mean about Bryan Singer specifically. Hell, I think a similar thing ended up on the old Singerman Sucks blog not long after Singerman came out. And if memory serves, the Apologist line was that these were rumors, nothing more, the payouts/settlements were made to put the mess behind them and move on, no way is Singer guilty of this shit, etc.

I doubted his innocence then and I completely don't believe it now. How many times do you have to hear the same fucking story about somebody before you start thinking, you know, maybe there's some truth to it after all? Fuck's sake, let's get with the program...

Amy Berg, who was nominated for an Oscar for her documentary about the Catholic Church sex-scandal is making one about Hollywood's own perversities, and guess who will be included?

http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/04/19/documentarian-amy-berg-working-on-hollywood-sex-abuse-expose-involving-bryan-singer

Documentarian Amy Berg Working on Hollywood Sex Abuse Expose Involving Bryan Singer
New details emerge regarding allegations of sexual abuse by X-Men: Days of Future Past director.

X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer’s name has been all over the news of late in connection with a scandalous sex abuse lawsuit. Now Oscar-nominated director Amy Berg has confirmed she’s been working on a documentary about Hollywood sexual abuse that contains allegations regarding Singer and others.

The Daily Mail claims that Michael Egan, the 31-year-old man who filed the civil suit against Singer in Hawaii, has been cooperating with Berg on the documentary. Berg has been working on the doc for the past two years, though it’s unclear how long Egan has been involved or if he was interviewed for the movie. Variety was able to confirm that the documentary includes allegations about Singer, though Berg expressed surprise that Egan had come forward with his lawsuit.

Berg’s previous documentary credits include 2012’s West of Memphis and Deliver Us From Evil, which focused on sex abuse allegations in the Catholic Church and earned her an Oscar nomination in 2006. Berg’s narrative feature Every Secret Thing opens at the Tribeca Film Festival this Sunday.

Egan’s lawsuit, which seeks unspecified money damages, alleges that Singer, now 48, forcibly raped him in the late 1990s when Egan was a teenager. Singer would have been in his early 30s. The civil complaint goes on to allege Singer flew Egan to Hawaii multiple times, provided him with drugs and alcohol, and promised him movie roles. The claims made in the complaint include battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress and invasion of privacy.

Singer’s attorney has responded that the claims are “absurd and defamatory.” Singer has cancelled upcoming appearances at WonderCon and the Creativity Conference in Washington intended to promote X-Men: Days of Future Past, which premieres on May 22 in the U.K. and May 23 in the U.S.

The Daily Mail piece goes on to describe the alleged abuses in detail, including allegations that Singer was involved in a ring of pedophilia orchestrated by convicted sex offender Marc Collins-Rector, a former digital media entrepreneur. In the Variety piece, Egan says the FBI was informed but did nothing, a statement an FBI spokeswoman vehemently denied.

Anyone think HollyWeird will be nominating her for THIS, when she sheds light on their not-so-secret abuses?

We Were Right About That Piece Of Shit All Along... Empty Re: We Were Right About That Piece Of Shit All Along...

Post  thecolorsblend Sat Apr 19, 2014 10:53 pm

I doubt it. And the thing is this shit happens in Hollywood all the time but nobody's allowed to say anything about it, much less prosecute. It's the rare case that actually ends up with someone facing real charges. Makes you wonder what the hell else probably goes on that we don't know about.

The fact of the matter is that if this was a private company in any other industry, not only would it never be tolerated, the people responsible would be lucky to make it to trial because some ramrod would probably shoot them before they could ever appear before a judge. And it makes you think that maybe the movie business isn't really a "business". We call it a business because that's the best label anybody can think of but when you consider it for a minute, Hollywood has more in common with a cult, where abuses like this are not only tolerated but actively suppressed.

The logical comparison is to the Catholic Church but the thing there is that the vast majority of those cases took places decades ago... back when the prevailing method of dealing with these things came prescribed by psychologists who viewed these things in therapeutic terms. Their recommendation was to (1) confront the guilty party (2) shame him (3) make him promise to never do it again (4) send him off for therapy and (5) relocate him afterward. That was SOP in all industries/organizations everywhere for decades. It was only after it was learned how much trauma this shit inflicts on the victim that the remedy changed from therapeutic to criminal. So all the Catholic Church did during those years was operate within the parameters of prevailing scientific opinion. But nobody remembers that so they get nailed for it even though their policies have changed so much these days that it's basically impossible for anything even remotely inappropriate to ever happen now. It's just not going to happen again ever, period.

Hollywood? This shit has happened there for decades but nothing ever happens because a lot of the guilty parties are effectively untouchable... even though it's well understood just how damaging this is. My hope is that she names names and publicly shames all the perverts and scumbags. Clear 'em all out and send 'em to prison!

But didn't Roman Polanski have Charles Manson gunning for him back in the day? Don't have time to research that now but I'm sure I remember that from yesteryear. Gee Hollywood, that's attracting the right crowd to take care of you ain't it?  Rolling Eyes

Apparently that's how the Manson "family" ever came about murdering Sharon Tate. They originally wanted Polanski.

Actually, it was only by accident that Tate and her friends were murdered by Mason's kill team. Manson only knew the home, because it a been the home of a music producer that had scorned Manson who had visions of being a music star. Manson knew the producer no longer lived there, but he and Tex Watson had been to the home before, so Watson, leader of the kill team, knew the layout and he ordered the kill team to take out everyone they found. The occupants were total strangers to them, just as the man and wife they killed the next night were unknown to them. Their home had been chosen because it was next door to a house that Manson had went to a party once.

All those people killed because of happenstance. I actually studied these murders for a college course in the mid 70's and found it amazing what very little information was ever released and that which was was usually erroneous.

I was a criminal justice major and it was a class assignment that we were given to study the trial and compare it with the then recently released TV movie that covered the investigation and trial. We were provided copies of the trial transcripts, written materials from newspapers, magazines and what I found to be the definitive source, the book written by the trial prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi. Newspapers and magazine articles and to a lesser extent the tv movie tended to concentrate on sensationalizing most of the information. Many people do not realize that there were murders/attempted murders by Charlie and the family prior to the Tate/LaBianca murders that never really became public knowledge.

My grade for the project was a 92%.

BS gave a standard "denial", that ALL famous pedarasts give:

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/MarvelFreshman/news/?a=98743

"The allegations against me are outrageous, vicious and completely false," says Bryan Singer (via Variety). "I do not want these fictitious claims to divert ANY attention from X-Men: Days of Future Past. This fantastic film is a labor of love and one of the greatest experiences of my career. So, out of respect to all of the extraordinary contributions from the incredibly talented actors and crew involved, I've decided not to participate in the upcoming media events for the film. However, I promise when this situation is over, the facts will show this to be the sick twisted shake down it is. I want to thank fans, friends and family for all their amazing and overwhelming support."

Anybody hearing about ANYONE in HollyWeird defending BS? Any stars or close friends coming out in support of him?

Yeah, me neither....

To be fair, I don't think many of us expected him to admit to it.

That said, yes, his statement IS full of the usual crap people say just before they get found guilty of all charges.

Still, you raise a good point about HollyWeird circling the wagons any time one of their own is in peril. Kirstie Alley is the exception that proved the rule about people defending the rapist Roman Polanski. Because apparently the ability to create pretty pictures makes you above the law.

But don't you DARE make a movie making Jews look bad, or get drunk and say things you wouldn't normally say! Because then, ONLY THEN, will HollyWeird shun you.

Another accuser comes out, this one being Singerman-related:

http://www.theguardian.com/film/2014/may/06/bryan-singer-new-sexual-assault-allegation

Briton accuses X-Men director Bryan Singer of sexual assault
Bryan Singer denies new allegation by unnamed Briton who claims he was abused aged 17 at Superman Returns party

We Were Right About That Piece Of Shit All Along... Bryan-Singer-009

X-Men director Bryan Singer has been hit with a second sexual assault lawsuit, this time from an anonymous Briton who alleges that when he was 17 he was abused by the film-maker at an afterparty for 2006's Superman Returns. Singer vehemently denies the fresh charges.

According to the Daily Beast, the teenager met Singer and Hollywood producer Gary Goddard at a London hotel where the film event was being staged. When he refused sex with Singer, a large musclebound man was brought to the room where he physically assaulted the teenager. Singer then allegedly attempted to penetrate the 17-year-old Briton.

According to the suit, the plaintiff "only recently became cognizant that he has suffered psychological and emotional injuries, mental anguish and loss of enjoyment of life as a result of the Defendants' sexual acts. Such injuries are severe, continuing, and permanent".

The lawsuit has been filed by Jeff Herman, who previously filed suits against Singer and Goddard, claiming they engaged in a Hollywood "sex abuse ring".

Plaintiff Michael F Egan III, who has waived his right to anonymity, claims he was abused by Singer, Goddard and others in Los Angeles and Hawaii as a 17-year-old during a period in which he was trying to make an acting career for himself in Hollywood. Herman, who handles sexual abuse cases across the US, has held several press conferences in Los Angeles to put forward his allegations.

Goddard, who directed the 1987 children's fantasy Masters of the Universe, is alleged to have groomed the anonymous British teenager after contacting him via social media.

Both Singer and Goddard have fiercely denied all allegations against them. Singer has withdrawn from publicity appearances for forthcoming superhero movie X Men: Days of Future Past while he fights the allegations.

Singer's lawyer, Marty Singer, told the Daily Beast that the allegations were "totally untrue".

"After the substance of Mr Herman's previous defamatory and fabricated filing in Hawaii was disproved based on unassailable evidence, Mr Herman's desperation has led him to fabricate these new anonymous accusations against Mr Singer, which we will also prove to be completely false," he said. "It is time for the media and public to focus their attention on Mr Herman's nefarious motives and tactics, which seem to be driven solely by his need to shake down an innocent man like Bryan Singer. We intend to seek sanctions against Mr Herman for his reckless, unethical behaviour."

Goddard's lawyers, Alan Grodin and Paul Gaspari, also issued a statement. "It is a sad indictment on society that when once spurious claims making false, serious and highly damaging allegations have been made – especially where compensation is sought – that other similar claims may follow," it reads. "The allegations made against Mr Goddard are vehemently denied and will be vigorously defended at any trial of these matters and Mr Goddard is entirely confident that he will be fully vindicated."

Even I'd find this kind of hard to believe if the hot tub rumors hadn't been making the rounds for years.

It's funny-weird how I've not seen much of this stuff outside Superman Watchdog. If this was a Catholic priest or even a school teacher, would anybody care to argue this wouldn't have become a Facebook meme by now?

My Facebook has been remarkably silent about this whole molestation thing. I thought that was kind of odd but figured other stuff is probably occupying peoples' attention right now but we'd probably start seeing people comment on it as the release date neared.

Nothing.

So I mentioned it in a comment I made on some guy's post... and got completely shouted down. "Don't judge the movie by these spurious allegations" and whatnot. One twat even wrote "even IF it's true, it shouldn't affect anybody's enjoyment of the film".

People, the bratty attitude Chris Evans has about acting had impact on my enjoyment of The Winter Soldier. So just how the fuck am I supposed to forget that Bryan Singer molested people? I mean, is that where we are now in society? We can totally forget what a scumbag someone is if they can make pretty pictures?

Seriously, what the fuck?

I haven't seen the new X-Men film yet but I've been reading online & it sounds like Singer's version of QUICKSILVER is stealing the show! I just wonder where this will leave Whedon's version in the Avengers 2? And over at SHH it's like you barely even read any of the allegations. They're too busy with their circle jerk to even notice.  Rolling Eyes

No kidding. Here's the thing that pisses me off. This same crap sunk Michael Jackson's career. And well it should've too! So just why the hell is Bryan Singer getting a free pass on this?

I guess it's like the old Sucks blog: Singerman, giving head & packing fudge. And man! He must be good at it LOL!  Razz

But there's an obvious double-standard there & I think more people know who Michael Jackson was than will ever know who Bryan Singerman is. So what makes him so special?

Precisely my point. Wacko Jacko was all but burned in effigy. It's fucking sick how Singer hasn't even gotten a slap on the wrist from fans.

Michael Jackson was a household name, so of course him being accused of child molestation was going to be a much bigger deal, whereas Bryan Singer is not close to a household name. He's known by fans of film and comic books, but that's it.

I think a much more fitting comparison is Roman Polanski, who raped a 13 year old girl and even fled the country to avoid jail time, which should tell you enough about his guilt. This fucker is a fugitive living in countries that have no extradition. However, his career never ended right then and there. He went on to continue making movies with high profile actors and winning an Oscar. If Polanski's career couldn't crash, no director's ever could. On a different note, M. Night Shyamalan hasn't had a hit in over a decade but he still gets work to this day.

That's why it's called Hollyweird.

Not to derail the subject but speaking of M. Night I loved his early films, The Sixth Sense & Unbreakable especially. I thought both films were brilliant. Signs I liked OK & it was also pretty popular from what I remember but after that it's like he started his downward spiral. Not really sure what happened there. Some celebrities, whether we're talking about rock stars who come back with a vengeance or actors/directors like Ben Affleck, somehow these people find a way to salvage their careers. M. Night hasn't seemed able to do likewise & I just don't understand why. He seemed like a good storyteller in the beginning. What happened?!

Don't you know that homosexuals can do no wrong these days? That the ONLY "evil" is a straight, non-ethnic-looking male??
