Looks like development is moving along for dr. Strange now at marvel studios. Can't wait to see who marvel gets on board, the direction for character and ultimately the cast. Here is link on film's development:

Another Actor interested in Doctor Strange:
http://www.iamrogue.com/news/interviews/item/4649-iar-exclusive-interview-corey-stoll-talks-midnight-in-paris-hemingway-and-superheroes.html
I read in an interview that though you're interesting in continuing to make movies aimed at adults, you'd also be interested in appearing in a superhero movie. So often there's a reluctance to engage with genre material, and I was curious where that impulse comes from for you and if there's any specific superhero for you?

Stoll: [Laughs] Well, I sort of feel like all the superheroes have been taken at this point. They're going down the list now, to the C-list and D-list superheroes. But you know, when I was a kid, I was super-into comic books. In fact, my little sort of scrapbook-wall when I was a kid, there was Spider-Man right next to Woody Allen and Martin Scorsese. So I was both sort of a film nerd and a comic book geek and, you know, like everybody in my generation, really into Star Wars. I sort of started reading comic books after Frank Miller and Alan Moore had sort of broken open that superhero thing where it wasn't just about primary colors and guys slugging it out. There was some real psychological depth and I think, in some ways, the types of stories and the types of characters were opened up in a way in comic books that they weren't in most popular films, actually. And I think there was a complexity and a darkness to a lot of those things that I really related to, that you could only really find in, like, Scorsese movies. So I still really feel connected to that stuff, even though I don't read comic books as much as a used to. It was a combination of incredibly fun stories, but also with the possibility of having some psychological depth and I think the better superhero movies have that. Certainly like Michael Fassbender in the latest X-Men, that's a performance that could be in any movie and would hold up, not just a superhero movie.

Dr. Stange. I think Doctor Strange could be your guy.

Stoll: Oh, yeah, yeah. I would love that. I'm not as familiar with him, but I've read a few.

Update on Marvel's Dr. Strange Movie

January 25, 2012 by Ryan Turek

Marvel's upcoming Dr. Strange movie is something we're watching closely here because, well, we dig the character and it delves into the supernatural at times.

The last update we received, writers Thomas Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer turned in a draft and that script. Domain names connected with Dr. Strange were being secured last fall. The news has not been groundbreaking, but they're definitely baby steps

The latest morsel of news comes via an interview with Sean Carroll, a theoretical physicist at the California Institute of Technology, who served as an advisor on the science behind Thor. The interview was conducted over at io9 who dropped the following update.

Now that Carroll's done with Thor, he's moved on to Doctor Strange, about a surgeon who becomes earth's Sorcerer Supreme. Carroll's job is to apply limits to Strange's powers. "You need constraints to provide tension," he says. A world where anything can happen makes for a very boring movie. It's when science imposes boundaries on what a superhero can do that the real drama begins.

Yeah, take that superheroes...drop some reality on your ass and give you limitations! Ahem, more on Dr. Strange as it comes in.

I wonder if 'Dr. McDreamy' is still interested in the role?

I cant wait to see first who the decide on as director. but they been doing good so far, so i doubt they do wrong with director. As for the grey's actor definately like him and i think he would fit the role nicely. Hopefully he still is interested and at least tests for the role.

A little humor there I suppose. My wife is all into GREY'S ANATOMY like most women are & Patrick Dempsey has probably been nicknamed that since the program's inception. He's like their heartthrob or something. Even on SUPERNATURAL they took a stab at him when the 'Trickster/Gabriel' locked Sam & Dean in 'TV Land' but called the character 'Dr. McSteamy'. Yeah, he does look the part & could probably fill it just as well as RDJ did Iron Man. Can't seem to upload a pic at the moment though.

Same shit's happened to me a few times. I KNOW I coded the image in there properly but, though visible to me, it doesn't become immediately visible to others. Give it time and it will but it isn't instant the way it used to be. It's pretty weird.
