BS Presents: "The Craptacular Bulk"??
I'm SO glad he's not ruining Superman anymore:

"What's happened up to this point is between the time of the last movie and this movie my character has created a serum which basically controls his mutation so his appearance is normal as long as he doesn’t get worked up. Any animal instinct or urges, that kind of brings him out. So yeah, he changes into Beast a few times throughout the story and they've done some great action sequences with him this time, particularly in the mansion flying around on these chandeliers and stuff."

I smell a rat. Either they want to spare the budget or they want to spare the actor having to sit in that makeup chair for six hours every day. Or something. It's a bad idea, yes, but it seems kind of transparent.

colors. YOU of all people I would think could smell exactly what it is. Especially when it comes to Bryan Singer.
Who was the most popular character in the $2,500,000,000 'The Avengers'? Who was the one that got people talking?
That would be the HULK.
Now Bryan "I Make Flops!" Singer HAS to have a hit. There's no two ways around it. So he hears 'Avengers: Age Of Ultron' is going to use Quicksilver. So he decides HE is going to use him too, due to some shady "grey area". And he looks as shitty as you would expect. But I digress. He figures if people loved the HULK, why not shoehorn in his own "version"? And who do they have that can be a big, strong rampaging monster?
How about Beast??
That's all it came down to. Not his latest young crush's contract. If Kelsey FUCKING Grammar can go full beast, "Jack The Giant Flopper" could too.
Unfortunately, this film is probably going to be a mild "success" based on Jackman and the first two films alone. But people are going to HATE IT.

...
Honestly, that angle should have occurred to me. I don't know why but I keep forgetting that this is the same fuckwidget who did the Quicksilver thing you mentioned, diplomatically smack-talked his own Singerman lead, wore jeans and a fucking t-shirt to the worldwide Singerman premiere, joked about "unfucking" the movies and all that. Is ripping off Hulk's shtick somehow out of the question. No! But I didn't think about that angle for whatever reason.

"The biggest ever superhero movie"? Isn't that a split-infinitive?
Either way, it's not fucking true. I'm not as pessimistic about the movie as you are but anybody who thinks it'll touch Avengers either in terms of quality or box office dollars needs his head examined.
