www.worldsfinestonline.com wrote:Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has confirmed that the new all-ages animated feature JLA Adventures: Trapped In Time will hit DVD on Tuesday, January 21st, 2014. The DVD-only release will be available exclusively at American Target locations starting next week. JLA Adventures: Trapped In Time features the greatest heroes of DC Comics squaring off against their most challenging foes. Click the image below for a closer look at the complete DVD cover artwork.

Dubbed a “stealth release,” wherein a home entertainment product is given no promotion and limited availability due to its perceived audience reach, JLA Adventures: Trapped In Time is an all-new original movie featuring the Justice League facing off against the classic Legion of Doom. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has currently not provided any official details about the animated movie, but JLA Adventures: Trapped In Time producer Giancarlo Volpe (Green Lantern: The Animated Series) has recently taken to social media to drop a few tidbits.

With a runtime of roughly 52 minutes, Volpe called the animated feature an “all-new adventure, featuring the Justice League and the Legion of Doom, plus a couple curve balls.” Volpe added that JLA Adventures: Trapped in Time is a stand-alone feature, but “in my head canon it could hook up to Green Lantern: The Animated Series.”

Volpe stated that the all-ages movie features design work by Lynell Forestall (DC Nation), and includes the traditional Justice League line-up along with a few new additions, including Robin and Karate Kid. The voice cast for JLA Adventures: Trapped In Time includes Grey DeLisle, Dante Basco, Jack DeSena, Diedrich Bader, and Jason Spisak, with the movie’s score provided by Frederik Wiedmann (Green Lantern: The Animated Series).

The studio has noted that if JLA Adventures: Trapped In Time is commercially successful through its exclusive Target “stealth release,” it will eventually expand and be available at other retail outlets. However, that is a not a guarantee.

JLA Adventures: Trapped In Time – a co-production between Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, DC Entertainment, and Warner Bros. Animation – hits DVD on Tuesday, January 21st, 2014, available only at American Target locations. Stay tuned for additional updates and details on this title, including further coverage, in the coming weeks right here at The World’s Finest.

Rather interesting. The cover art at the link shows a Superman with what looks more or less like the MOS uniform... with red trunks. That's unmistakeably the MOS chest symbol. No question about it. So the addition of the red trunks interests me.

Actually I think that's the red belt instead of trunks. I think they just made the belt bigger than usual. Looking at the image in the small version it does look kinda like trunks but if you click on it & enlarge it it appears to be some form of belt.

Here's what gets me. It's like duh 'New 52' know Superman looks naked without the trunks so they're trying to compensate for it by adding stuff to replace them. But hey! Ain't they still trying to do something to 'break up the blue'?! Which purpose the trunks served so well for so long. Now they remove them but then try to replace them?!

Solution? Bring back the trunks!  Idea
